im curious, because a gallic junker just tried to pirate my junker and the main extent of his RP was:
"[06.09.2013 20:40:18] *******: Hmm junker
[06.09.2013 20:40:32] *******: Cut engine please
[06.09.2013 20:41:03] *******: Yes and you're lucky I have not shoot you down yet backstabber
[06.09.2013 20:41:53] *******: You have one chance scum. Give 3 million credits and I will let you go"
and stuff like that.
the wiki doesnt say much about the GJ, so perhaps people could enlighten me?
I just use them to rob people one lane away from the sellpoint.

There was a huge conflict between Regular Junkers and Gallic Junkers between .85 and .86. Over 50% of Rochester's (New-York Rochester, not the GJ station in IDF) population were Gallic Junkers. (Like, seriously. I'm not making this up)
The Liberty Rogues worked as mercenaries for both sides, until there was a peace done between the two factions. They now agree to disagree about their principles.
Gallic Junkers are basically Privateers, mechanic wise, right now. They're similar to the Corse.
GJs are kinda privateers for Gallia. Their reputation with Junkers is unclear, as it says they maintained relations, but also that there were fights. Its not surprising that a GJ would consider Junkers backstabbers who've "gone native" in sirius and ignored their Gallic roots. In effect theres kinda a low key civil war going on, with some GJs wanting to maintain relations with Junkers, and some wanting to take them over, same from the Junker side.
In general RP the GJs are just that, Junkers from Gallia, they do anything they can to make money and live between the law. Pirating anywhere except Gallia if they want.
But ye, pirating one lane from the sellpoint is fun until the admins rephack you.

Did Tel-Aviv tell you that?
I spent a lot of time around Rochester on my .:j:. (one of the reasons I'm now Director of Liberty), and I have to say, I didn't see anything you just described.

A large portion of Sirian Junkers do not (or rather, did not) have a clue that GJs were a thing, as I believe only the highest "ranking" (well, as much of a rank Junkers can have) were vaguely informed of the Gallic situation. A majority of them are in fact Sirians to their root. I don't think the Yanagi Junkers give a single damn about the GJs, as an example. Sirian Junkers infocards suggest that they do not care at all for their Gallic counterparts. Most of the Sirian Junkers feel abused/betrayed, as well.

Igiss' description of the Junkers for .86 in the Pre-.86 threads, I believe.
