here's an interestingly annoying thing about trying to set up characters.

I have been trying to set up a character Named Siren, she was built by the Liberty Navy as an assassin android using nomadic tech to achieve her sentient state of mind. Theres a lot of stuff I don't want to ramble on and on about as I tend to do that with this char, so I'll get straight to the point.

I'v in RP on skype mostly for the poast year workied on Sirens stuff with the faction she's in now and it's pretty much SET that she's an LN android. Ive spent the last 9 months trying on and off again to get her set up and completely failed miserably. No one seems to want to help and those that seem to tell me its an idea for the LSF and not something LN's would do. WELL... The LSF people I talked to 6 months ago said it wasn't something they wanted to help with. so WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!?!!

I love RP, I love Disco, and I love the mix of the two, but when no one seems willing to help me other than those select few that I find though are hardly ever online.. yeah.

Your thoughts?

Have you tried contacting LSF in the forums?
From what I know LSF is looking for new people with new ideas, but if the proposition with LSF why don`t you become let`s say an indie?
And I think that a nomad thing is more of navy stuff since well it is navy, the LSF is a kind of police. In my vision the LN would be better suitable for this, probabily they sent you off because from what I heard the LN is a bit strict regarding players and they don`t care about the other guys so there comes the LNS, a indie group that has few Sirius wide laws in mind let`s say.
I say you go for the navy, if no and no, try the LSF and if not, build up your role play, obtain a special ops id and go have fun. I don`t see a reason why some people should ban your wish of flying such a ship...

You dont have to be depended on others, you may even create your own story and play all the characters, its tough because its a personality paradox but its legit and rather interesting. Head toward "Stories" section and post your progress, also ; I would strongly suggest you to contact the IMG or perhaps the GMG, they are always a fun people to interact and talk to and I hardly believe they will decline, I mention GMG and IMG because both of them have the capacity of large manufacturing and producing and for a sentient wishing to get some nommie stuff, well IMG now looks a better candidate.

shes already set in her backstory though its getting the LN side of things done that has been annoying me.

And she eats normal foods like the rest of us squishys. shes esentialy a human android. artifitial organs and everything.

Ok, so now I get to be really upset because the ONLY faction that seems logical for my chars back stoping and creation is saying that my character is NOT something the LN would do.

What the frak?!?

I have spent over a friggen year on creating and Role PLaying this char and I finaly think I'm getting somewhere with finishing up the fine details then I get NOPE.jpg to the face.

Seriously, I mean, Yes I get that my character would be better suited for the LSF, But WHO even ROLE PLAYS LSF?!?!

This is why this game infuriates me so much at times. I get being a new player causes issues with char creation at times given their lack of knowledge of the game.... But I've been around for nearly 4 years.

can I get some advise on what I should do OTHER than changing my char to freelancer or some such thing like that? She was meant to be Liberty Military born and built so my options are slightly limited to LN or LSF.

Did you even play this character as LN or LSF in its early stages? If I remember correctly, when I did read about this android-of-sorts, all I could gather was that she didn't really reach to enter active service for LN/LSF, so honestly, you can't expect the people in said factions to share your opinion on androids being "practical" projects without prior discussion.

The most reasonable alternative I could suggest is this character actually being a project fueled by Zoner researchers in Ames for example, or independent scientists from Heisenberg or Barrier, given that the 'laws' in such places concerning research may be more laid back than within a House's borders.

I'd like to first say that I kinda used this thread in the wrong way, I ended up ranting rather than doing something constructive. As it stands, no, I did not RP this char in the actual LN faction due to her being born out of a simple idea of a sentient pirate bartending android and blossomed from there.

The LN have somewhat agreed to take on my char as "Ex" LN though ponly to a degree. Her being designed inRP was actualy done by a semi rouge RnD division of the LN, so they weren't actualy following orders when they built her. The actual orders for her construction were for that of a battle assessment AI who could actively help change the tide of battles for the LN by thinking like a human and not a machine and as well as seeing the outcome of certain events thus being able to alterthem via orders to active ground / space troops / ships.

but yeah, it's all sorted now. Thanks to all your help as well as taking the time to hear out my ranting.
