I always assumed the reason Corsairs don't have many allies are because they are more numerous than the Outcasts, and because their goal is the complete subjugation of all peoples of Sirius. (Something even a pirate might not want to happen to their own people)

The Gaians, Unioners, Hogosha/FA (and until recently, the SCRA) only ally with them because they have a close set of ideals the run parallel to the Corsairs. Whereas the Outcasts don't really have a problem with ideals, per se.

The Corsairs can expand, but only as their food supply allows. The Outcasts expand as their Cardamine supply allows. I always assumed Cardamine was a bit harder to supply than food because of the scarcity for the fact it is only grown on Malta, compared to food rations.

This post is really just my understanding of the relationship and the reasons for alliances.

Edited to add: Also, I voted No. The Xenos don't have a set of ideals that are parallel to the Corsairs, as one of them is hatred of foreigners. Also, what about Sean Ashcroft from the SP? Wasn't he a Liberty Rogue and also involved in the artifact trade? Why not make the LR's neutral and involve them in both trades, just like the Junkers? They would still be the middlemen, letting the Junkers sell the contraband, but also would give a more markets for artifacts. Again, just my opinions on the matter.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Strewth, 6 pages.... well I can't be arsed reading all that, but here's my 2-bobs anyway, and I apologise if I repeat/rehash stuff already discussed.

Firstly I didn't vote, coz I just dunno. I can't imagine Xenos & Corsairs would ever get together. Their respective ZOI's don't overlap in the least. Nor do their world views. And the original argument, that "Outcasts are here and here and here but Corsairs ain't", frankly doesn't cut the mustard IMHO.

That said, I can see potential. The Xenos want foreign corps out of Liberty, and Corsairs want to rob them.... furthermore if Xenos could corner the artefact market in Liberty that would be a black eye to the Junkers, and Corsair money & technology could be the boost the Xenos need to really push forward.

So in theory it could work..... but it'd need some damn good RP.

Just a little thought;
Corsairs finance the ultraconservative Hogosha, who are Kusari's equivalent to the British National Party crossed with the Yakuza. Xenos may be Sirius' Ku Klux Klan, but their main beef is with Kusari.

I saw briefly someone mentionning an aliance of xenos - liberty corp, I believe it is a good idea, I just don't know which one, since they are all very powerful and dont need to rely on crime to gain more power in Liberty.

The secret ally of the Xenos is the Liberty public. Ultra conservative political organizations secretly support them. The power of the Xenos is in their message. Great wealth always creates great injustice somewhere else, and this is where Xenos get their political weight.

There is a rumor on Ouray explaining a Xeno's rules of engagement. It says that foreigners must die slowly and painfully, to set a gruesome example to their associates back home so they never come back to Liberty. How sick is that? On the other hand the rumor says that Libery citizens, if they must die, can die swiftly and painlessly. This is shock tactics. To do something so hideous it creates a wave of reaction in the public eye. The Xenos crave the spotlight, they hunt the media and perform for them when the cameras are rolling. These people are unreasonable. They have lost all stomach for waiting, compromizing and negotiating.

They are insane with rage. They cannot be negotiated with logically therefor an alliance is impossible. They view criminal organizations as diseases on society-which gives them a vigilante quality. While the Junkers bribe law enforcement, the Xeno cannot be bought, he kills the Junker. While Ageira benevolently turns the other way as their former employees profit from stolen secrets, the Xenos go for the roots of the evil and attack Ageira.

Xenos love Liberty. It is their home. They would never give any sort of power or influence to a foreign culture.

The only relationship I can see coming out of this would be a certain group or corporation getting a free pass from the Xenos. A corporation that develops an understanding with the Xenos that allows them to travel through Liberty unmolested.

Yes but, various rumours hint that Xenos want to wrest the cardamine trade in Liberty away from the Junkers. To me that suggests:
1. Xenos don't find certain "foreign" entities so abhorrent (Outcasts in this case)
2. Xenos do have some kind of rational, long term stratagem at heart, not just mindlessly killing everyone.

until Outcasts support Junkers they are in no way tolerated by xenos.
Their only goal is to take over smuggling in Liberty from Junkers for only one reason; so that they can earn money and build force strong enough to bring down Aegira influenced and corrupted government...After that Liberty will be returned back to its people...
