Been a while folks hasn't it? I'm rolling through to inform you about a great Humble Bundle, for those who don't konw what Humble Bundle is, it's a charity where publishers and independent developers put up their games for quite literally any price but zero.
All in the name of charity. You can pay a penny, a cent or a thousand pounds. All up to you. You can even tell the website where your money goes to, more to charity, the developers and humble site themselves to keep them going. It's wonderful.
If you pay $6.00 or more, you also get these games:
X3: Terran Conflict
X3: Albion Prelude
X: Superbox Bonus Material
Oh, no matter what you pay, you also get the following soundtracks for
X3: Albion Prelude
X Rebirth - when released!
The two charities this week are:
Electronic Frontier Foundation
Child’s Play Charity
This is hours upon hours of gameplay people, I figured you may like this bundle. Now... how to I play them? Honestly, I only had X2, and that thing was as complex as a space shuttle to me. Didn't stop me trying though.

(yes, i've seen enough of those lolduels, where house military with overwhelming force on the field willingly loses a pilot in a duel. ffs.)
If you're looking for an excellent joystick on a budget you cannot go wrong with the Logitech 3d Pro. It's an excellent piece of hardware that will work exceptionally well for that style of game and, should you decide to jump in later, Star Citizen.
If you're looking to spend a little more money on a stick I would suggest looking at the X52 Pro, it's quite a bit more expensive but almost certainly the best HOTAS setup that you can get for your money that delivers quality at a level below that demanded by true nolife nerd flight simulators.
I've already pledged for Star Citizen more than I can actually afford, so the stick will definitely find its use there.
In fact, I planned to get a second stick when the Dogfighting module is released. It may turn out that using two sticks is applicable for some of the ships there. The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is not ambidextrous, but the Thrustmaster T.16000 is unavailable here, so the 3D Pro may be a good choice for now. The Saitek X52 Pro seems really good, too.
I'm going to play through the whole X series, so I can get used to the joystick playstyle, which is new for me.
I would suggest not going for the 52 vanilla, just to throw it out there. The 52 pro is great, but the 52... normal is of somewhat cheap manufacture and isn't worth the money.
