The entire website is ALL RP. Nothing else. After a while RP gets really, REALLY, boring. I remember back in 4.85 seeing a PvP or relaxed server. Now it's just weird "fun" servers and RP. Nothing else. Can we get some PvP servers in the equation?
You can play Discovery purely for PVP without the need to focus on RP.
As long as you follow the basic rules, such as engagement notices, and RESPECT others RP here, you can easily play just like everyone else currently playing here and who are not interested in RP.
Let me elaborate just a bit.
We have a mass of players, who do not know the language on a needed level to RP properly, their attempts usually met with snide remarks from the more experienced RPers, but this does not mean that they would just give up on this place.
Discovery population-wise is the largest of the surviving Freelancer communities right now, so surely it will attract many new players, who just want to play with others, even if they do not want to focus on RP.
We need to realize that this is the type of person the new ad campaign will mostly bring and that it is not a bad thing. Limiting our playerbase only to people who A) enjoy FL, B) enjoy modded FL, C) enjoy RP is a bad thing.
Deal with it.
