Earlier today, SPECTRA "opened fire" on one of Angel's characters when she undocked from Manhattan (I think). SPECTRA has a civie Battlestar, and it was loaded with some heavy weapons.
he claims one salvo was fired. Well.. one salvo of those weapons took my shield and nearly 10% of my hull. So.. that constitutes violating PvP rules, right?
Gave him a warning. Asked he pay Sam back the $10 mil he lost on this.. "error" as he called it. he refused and ran. Sam, met and I went after him.
Well.. a few moments ago, Met engaged him again. i went to the newCastle jumpgate in leeds to block him off (I was in a talon.. met was in an osiris).
In the middle of Met opening fire, he F1'd out of combat.
That being said, I have banned the player indefinitely until Igiss and I have made a decision about this.
From here on out.. I will *NOT* be as lenient as i have been in the past. Any player violating rules will be given a stern warning. Next violation will result in 3 day ban.
Then one week.
then indefinitely.
Everyone understand this?

IMO if he cant think of a reasonable explanation for violating 2 of the most enforced rules on the server, the ban should be a lot longer... Ah well...
As, I believe, another servers console is quick to point out.........
"Ignorance of the rules is no excuse". The PvP rule in NY is pretty universal.
As for using the F1 key, This does seem to be a French thing, as I'm sure

I allways thought that people is to be educated, not punished... I think that the ban should not extend mor more than 2 days from now... Also, (s)he should be told not to do that again, and refer to forums to read the rules. Languaje is not an excuse given that there are several unline translators which (s)he could use to translate rules to his/her own languaje.
There are a few players which are not in the forums and still play in the server. Because of that they might be ignorant of the rules... But if (s)he relapses, then a more severe punishment should be applied...

(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
