UPDATE:

I tried to leave before but failed coz I was too protective of the ships I had but now I have successfully managed to transfer all my ships to Gateway|: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=108036 which means I can now leave for good.

Freelancer has been a very fun game for me, I first bought the CD in 2004 for £20 from my local game shop as a bundle of 3 space games including Freelancer, X3 and some other space shooter. I guess Freelancer won coz it was an outstanding game and captured my imagination from the time I first installed it.

Man it really has been along time almost ten years O_O and some of us are still here, some new some old all good.

I am proud to see that Discovery Freelancer is the last true bastion of the Freelancer game for when Disco dies so to will FL, but your still going strong with a great mod and community that is still growing. Only this week I saw the server population peak at just over 170 people that's only 30 from the old target of 200 which I know it will hit again.

There has been much drama on discovery with the new mod release, DPC retards and all the other stuff things have got quite heated, to all those that did not agree with me that fine I love you anyway, only problem was I am quite aggressive and tend to jump in before looking in.

WHY:

Why am I leaving well this time things took a turn for the worst my obsession with this game meant I delayed in forwarding my CV for a job as I was doing RP on the Forum and as a result of that delay I missed that opportunity to get that job.

When a game interferes with your life so much that you miss crucial opportunities as I just did then it REALLY IS TIME TO GO!

XMAS PRESENTS:

As an early XMAS Present to you all I leave my jump coordinate library with the coords of over 25 locations to various destinations throughout Sirius, the scans were done between 10th and 20th of November so they are still relatively new and you should get a good months use out of them. Hopefully though by the time they become to old, Player Bases will return so you can make your own scanners and all the ridiculous prices that these pieces of equipment are being sold for now will come down..

Jump Coord Library Download Link: Black Widow Jump Coord Library - 10th Nov - 20th Nov.zip

(THIS DOWNLOAD LINK WILL EXPIRE 7 DAYS FROM TODAY)

Enjoy, everyone now I can uninstall this game. My job here is done, Black Widow signing off for the last time...

Very well sir, I'm sure you'll be kept on the up and up regarding the happenings of Sirius via the FB page, I myself will be posting tidbits here and there. Best of luck and feel free to shout out if you see me online.
