Many traders and independent operatives have become increasingly concerned at the lack of publicity given to the laws of the major houses in Sirius. We want to obey the law - but to do that we have to know what it is. This document is an attempt to present in written form the major laws affecting Sirius. Those who have additional information should submit their observations for incorporation into this document.
Laws common to all houses:
Counterfeit software, Cardamine, Synthetic Marijuana, Slaves, and pilots of lawful affiliation are contraband
Failing to obey the instructions of a law enforcement officer may result in force being used
Those carrying a criminal identification (such as Corsair, Pirate) will be asked to leave the House systems and destroyed if they refuse
Laws specific to Rheinland
Zero-tolerance policy on pirates. Any person who is, or claims to be, a pirate will be shot on sight
Pilots identifying as Smugglers may go about their business provided they are not carrying any contraband
Mercenaries are not allowed within Liberty space without specific clearance from high command
Zone 21 and the Alaska system are reserved for the Liberty military services. Any other craft which enters either of these areas will be destroyed if it refuses to leave. Any Liberty-hostile craft (e.g. Corsair) which enters either of these areas may be engaged and destroyed without warning. The same goes for Virginia
Any ship with a Kusari affiliation (e.g. Kusari corporation) may be engaged without warning
A ship moving any of the following cargo from Bretonia space to a Tau system will be treated as an enemy combatant:
Quote:Plutonium
Deuterium
Hfuel
MOX
Military Vehicles
Light Arms
Ship Hull panels
Engine Components
Ships carrying the above items within Bretonia will be required to drop it off at a Bretonian base - they will be escorted by a Bretonian officer to ensure compliance
Drug smuggling carries fines of $4 million for Cardamine and $1 million for Synthetic Marijuana
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
Moving any of the following items across the Bretonian border into Tau space is illegal, and will be treated as an act of war, making the transporter of said goods, an enemy combatant.
Plutonium
Deuterium
Hfuel
MOX
Military Vehicles
Light Arms
Ship Hull panels
Engine Components
The Barbarians will not gain war material through our borders.
-Shipments of military material such as Light Arms, Deuterium or H-Fuel will be escorted to drop their cargo off at a Bretonian base or face destruction.
The BPA has a strict policy regarding drug shipments in and out of our nation. All actions below will result in an immediate blacklisting. Any blacklisted ships will be asked to leave promptly. If they do not, the BPA will use lethal action.
-Shipments of Cardamine will be told to drop their cargo and will be fined 4 Million.
-Shipments of Synthetic Marijuana will be charged 1 million.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other Policies:
-Assisting any enemies of Bretonia will result in an $2 Million fine.
-Shipments of Artifacts will immediately be seized and transported to Planet Cambridge for safekeeping. Violators will be fined $5 Million. $3 Million for the artifacts, 2 million for assisting the Corsairs.
-If possible, BPA will respond to distress calls from any Bretonians and ships in Bretonia so long as they are of a lawful faction.
-BPA will attack Kusari Naval or Police targets if and only if either enters mainspace Bretonia. We are NOT the armed forces. We patrol Bretonia.
-BPA will cooperate in full with any other lawful agencies regarding terrorism and pirating, including the Kusari. We hate to do business with them, but mass killing and stealing is wrong wherever you are.
