Well, here we are again. Bretonia is settling into silence once more, and New York is FLOODED with people.
What shall we do? Im sick of seeing 30-40 people "hanging" out in NY, and 2-3 in Bretonia, 5-10 in Rheinland and 5-10 in Kusari. FYI Folks....New York is not the only system in the Sirius Sector!
Now we all know that the New Berlin diamond run is one of the best trade routes in the game. It is a large part of all the activity in Rheinland and Kusari.
Here are a few idea's Ive been kicking around:
1) Bretonia recognize's Molly independance, but with severe terms (Gold trade tarrifs n such, these can be discussed) inluding Molly assistance in the war against the Kusari's. This is accepted by some, but not all, mollies causing a Molly civil war. (this is a loooong shot I know, but an idea none the less)
2) Publicly advertise the Omega 49 to New London trade route. It yeilds the nearly same profits per hour as the New Berlin to New Tokyo route, and is much easier. This could lead to increased pirate activity for both Mollies and corsairs, which in turn would increase activity for Bretonian lawfuls.
Now, being that I am the leader of a Molly faction, I know that my idea's here are somewhat biased. Thats why I posted this thread. I was hoping for some idea's and comments from the rest of the community that will certianly have different points of view than my own!
Nothing new, this has been discussed a zillion times by now.
And I think trade routes will be fixed in the next version.
And, as Mal said, there are quite a few profitable trade routes going trough Brettonia.
But, nice of you to say for the Omega49-NL route. I am of opinion that all routes need to be publicized, or else people will just do one route.

hmmm a trade route from Omega 49 and New London? i shall give it a try tonight and if all goes well, you will be seeing a new resident in Bretonia:Dwell sort of haha
as far as i can see people do not goto Bretonia unless they have to because 1. there isnt much there at all because ther eisnt no good trade route (although that might cahnge now since people might want to check out that new trade route) and 2. there isnt much to do there wheras Rheinland leads off the the Omegas, Sigmas and Kusari systems Bretonia only leads to the Tau's and Omegas and the Taus dont really have much to offer either from what i have heard
There is a common misconception about Bretonia and Tau's and that is that there is no good trade route from there to there. MOX, Small Arms; both of these make for a really good (and lucrative) run to Malta. Then you got Arranmore where you can trade in Counterfeit Software for Gold. For all those legal traders there is the LD-14->NY Boron run. So many possibilities in Bretonia, god knows why people keep going with that boring Diamond run 100% of the time.
As for molly independence, we were actually getting close to that.
Then, suddenly, the Mollies decided to become crazy suicide conquerers, and have proven themselves to need some sort of military control, because they are, overall, completely without common sense.
Taus have plenty to offer, such as niobium, an easy route to Alpha, 3 times as many codes as the sigmas...need I go on?
oh, and Niobium.
See, the problem isn't so much that there isn't these things, its just that people aren't interested in bretonian space.
Also, if you like smuggling....Bretonia offers something like 7 out of 9 of the highest prices available for weed. (between 2500 and 2900) yeah. money.

Your right, it has been discussed a zillion and ONE times. The main goal here is not to kick a dead horse, but to come up with (fresh) idea's to get people to quit camping out in NY and go to other systems! I happen to interested in growing Bretonia, as it is my ZOI, but feel free ti chime in on Rheinland or Kusari space as well. T
I was hoping for some good RP idea's here. Perhaps some faction ideas...anything!:D
Trade routes are not the only problem, because for the most part, they are already there. What I'm shooting for is RP ideas. The Bretonian sector of space involves Mollys, Zoners, Bretonian Lawfuls, Kusari's and a few that Im probably leaving out.
Im just picking some brains here folks....I want to see if there is any NEW ideas! :D

I am all for increased traffic through Bretonia, but about Omega-49:
Widely publishing the exact location of 49 would quicken the day that it looses it's appeal.
If the cops accually knew the exact location of the JH's then they would come in @ start re-arranging the place, knock stuff off the shelves, & track muddy prints all over the place.
The best way (imho) to find the best TR's, is to ask a Zoner.
