I've been out of the loop.
Could someone explain to me what is going on and why are LNS flying around in Leeds like it is np?

You could check the history part of the readme file for more information of the changes in lore. Here are some hints:

Quote:Liberty is in the process of the biggest mobilisation in its history...leadership of Liberty focus on the greater foe: a great portion of the Liberty Navy fleet is now on the move to Magellan to catch the advancing Royal Navy of Gallia in a pinch.
Its expected that a huge armada of LN west fleet will soon clash with GRN invading forces, going straight for their borders. Considering the gates were destroyed (those that connected Liberty with Rheinland and those between Bretonia and Leeds) -the only real enemy for Liberty remains to be GRN invaders.

Quote:The house Gallia begins their assault on Sirius in earnest by brushing aside the Bretonian Armed Forces and seizing the Leeds system, changing the political landscape of Sirius forever. Governments and regional powers far and wide now seek to respond to the situation, either by launching themselves toward a desperate united front against a seemingly unstoppable enemy, or seeking to use the resulting chaos for their own benefit.
Leeds is not lost entirely - the planet is still in Bretonian control. Years of mobilisation, building of bunkers and planetary shields, delivery of milions of troops - have turned this planet in to one of the most protected in the sector. GRN are currently fighting with these forces on the surface while Bretonian smugglers are delivering more goods to maintain their troops.
While the remaining part of the area is not "bretonian"- all allies to the Queen and enemies of Gallia can freely fly and fight the invaders, do guerilla warfare or whatever they find necessary to disrupt the movement of the gallic forces and possibly - to slow them down a little.

Magellan and Manchester are possibly the two new "Leeds" - battlefields. Considering the alliance between Liberty and Bretonia remains strong and that Liberty are now turning their gaze on west(gallia), instead east (rheinland) - its logical and fully in RP to see LN/LNS and etc in Magellan, Bretonia space and even Leeds. (Ofcourse going in Leeds would be suicide but still its ingame possibility)

The question from other side. GRN. Do the pay interest to next systems: Magelan, New London, Manchester? You make it sound like their armada is busy with annihilating Leeds deffenses, when they could simply blow up the planet with such forces.

Do you think Gallia would be so stupid to blow the planet? Their only "Gas station" - a planet? They need a staging ground and the planet would be excellent place for that. Ofcourse its not so easy to conquer it all - maybe they will get some of its landscape but whole of it? Definitely nope.

GRN from what I know belive that Bretonia is "conquered" cuz only one system remains to be head chompted - New London. The real deal is that currently, after the gates being destroyed - GRN are unable to send their armada and capture the capital. So they turned their gaze towards Liberty, which are coming for them. The liberty forces, considering that fact they are no longer fighting Rheinland, are the strongest and most advanced in Sirius - and currently the strongest foe. GRN belive that if they conquer Liberty, they can return and finish Bretonia with ease.

We remain to see how things gona turn.

Makes no sense... Armada can't move without gates? Then we have cease fire till GRN fix them, since neither LN or BAF have gate connection to Leeds as well. Also, Liberty is not most advanced. In the lore their ships are far weaker then Rheinland ones, however their numbers larger. And Gallic fleet is larger then Liberty one. Or I misunderstood something again?

@Timmy, GRN needed .85/,86 and now in .87 they finally have conquered 1 single system, due to lack of mobility, or in short - jump gates. The conquering of Leeds was for a period of 1 entire expansion (.86). It does not sound stupid because the nature of jump holes is unclear - they may collapse, send you somewhere else - its foolish mistake to send an armada throught such a hole for 1 day...you gona need a lot of time, tests and maybe if all is well - to continue to send more ships - Exactly what happened during .85/.86 and now .87 from GRN side. Slow conquest but steady and successful.
Also dont forget the fact that GRN are now "New" in this area. They need to study the jump holes in Leeds more carefully and see where they can take them, what they can do from then on - while Bretonia on the other hand knows the whole information about them. Their ships can move throught the asteroid field even the Dunkirk - and successfully to bait and fight.

@Fixing gates - is impossible for 1 simple reason - hyperspace coordinates for a specific gate are known only by the House. Bretonia not only destroyed Newcastle and New London gates - they've wiped their data, making it impossible for GRN to restore it. You would be needing someone on the other side - bretonian from Queen's quarter who knows the coordinates to programm the newly built jump gate from Leeds ( if such is ever been built by GRN). Only then a clean way would be possible. Aside from that - jump holes remains an option.

Liberty is most advanced in Sirius, where "advanced" doesn't stand for ship quality but for quantity, technology, overall progress and stability of a House, even economical advantage, munition production and people. Liberty is with no doubt the best House with strongest military in this mod where its only opponent, with similar capabilities is Gallia.
Gallia only have multiple ships. But what about the House stability? All the things i've mensioned above, about liberty, does not count for Gallia. Do you know that 50% of the Gallic ppl dont want this war with Sirius? Do you know most of them are terrorised and threatened? All these fleets you see from Gallia, can very much stop the conquest if the king is ever been replaced....

There are many factors that lead the lore, while sadly ingame scenarios and battles can bearly scratch the surface of what really is going on in the mod history and what may happen.

Hauling that kind of commodity wouldn't be a help at all, quite the contrary. And as far as I know that satellite is freighter/snub only.

Certainly as the Satellite acts as "Docking Ring", allows Fighters & Freighters only.

You could bring a firefly and talk with someone from the inside (a bretonian hiding his freighter under a bunker) to come and help you unload the Arms, ammunitions and supplies you bring for them.

Obvious you would be facing a lot of Gallic Ships at your tail.
