So what? Just watch and see?

On the uncharted lagoons of anguish, I sail with a canoe made of my sins.

all i suggest is that if you follow what Igiss asks and report anything strange posted by them, we will kill them with the community spirit,

they have lost before they even started, so sad are these guys:P

Pathetic, simply pathetic. Well all, take some solice in the fact that they will in no way get the same player turnout that we here at Disco do. I highly doubt there are any legal ramifications for these scum, but karma is a b**ch!

i visited their forums and used this to translate what they say...

now i am even more mad then i was at start...there are things that i would like to say to them but that translator wont translate any foul language...not in a way i wish to say it...

the message i left was polite to preserve good face of our community

Quote:I am of of the people who made few models for Discovery and i am not pleased how you guys acted on this matter. Simple asking for permission, either by e-mail or PM on our forums would save you a lot of trouble. This way you only made our entire community mad, not to mention people who contributed to making of this great mod.
I will leave Igiss to resolve this matter with you since there is language barrier between us.

they can copy the mod, but they cannot get the community, - so... nothing lost, it just leaves a funny feeling, i guess.

Gotta agree completely. They've only made a cheap copy and stamped a lousy "Alliance" sticker on it... Without a fitting community behind the mod, they wont have much fun with it anyway. And seeing how the admins there are, I really doubt that they would ever acquire one.

But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."

Then the bird said, "Nevermore."

:huh:I'm afraid judging by their reaction it wasn't honoring in any way, you know, you don't honor people by insulting them.

This is not pathetic.

This is base, vile, and cruel.

People who do these things do not act for themselves or others, they act for the reward. They contribute nothing to society, and should not exist.

I'm sorry to hear that, Igiss:(I can imagine how you must feel having the product of your heart and soul stolen and called somebody else's. And not just your's of course, but many people who also contributed.

Some people mentioned copyright and legal action -- unfortunately Discovery is not copyright, and I don't believe it would be possible. Igiss could claim Discovery as his intellectual property, but because it is a modification of an existing copyrighted work, it would be on shaky grounds legally. Another option might be "Copyleft" or "Public Domain", where at least they are obliged to give proper credit to Igiss. Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer....

But of course, enforcing it is a whole other matter. It's times like this I start feeling the spark of militancy.....

Now for the rant. This mob is nothing but scum. A fetid pustule on the arse of the modding community, the Russian community, and the geek community in general. They drag all those groups through the mud with them. Even the worst toilet in Scotland is purer than their filthy, oily, stinking, crap-smeared hides. I hope for some ironic punishment, like robbers break in and steal their servers. And the robbers tie them up and make them eat dog s**t. May they all burn in hell.
