I see that hackers from time to time still brake in game and attack , as yesterday happened .

My proposal how to solve POB problem.

1. Make POBS undistructible
2. POBs can be overtaken and temporally conquered by events
3. Pob needs to be supplied and if lacks of basic necessities it doesnt accept ANY of other commodities except designated supply materials .

That will make Pob usefull in RP world , uselles if not maintained , and still can be challenged and conquered if RP forum background allows such undertaking. And most important immune to hackers

If POB is not supplied for some longer period it can be erased. Simple , functionall and elegant.

All this suggestions are not new btw. Thez are mentioned several times on similar threads separately .

1. Player Bases are effectively indestructible if they are well supplied and well defended (by Defense Turrets, Shield Gen).

2. Nothing is stopping players from RPing this. Frankly, I am suprised nobody has RPed this using a POB, only static bases (Freeport 4)

3. So your saying POB's should need to be supplied? I'm pretty sure thats covered. All other commodities can be blocked from being bought/sold at the base at the command of the Owner.


Your suggestions does not address the very obvious problem Bases currently have, being an exploit for money. That's why the Admins/Devs shut down the Base Plugin while Cannon fixes it.

Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

1. Hackers can kill a base within a seconds as that has already happened with gun of 10000000000000000 preset damage. You are in wrong here.

2. You are right about it . Is it lack of imagination or RP ideas i dont know...

3. I was not precise enough. IF POB is not supplied properly bz basic commodities OWNER can not put anything other. That will prevent behaviour - base is undistructible so we dont need to suply it at all.

hackers are just hackers that want to have a advantage so they can be better then other players,
so you want to change the POBs so the hackers lose their advantage,
but do you think they wont find a other way to get the advantage back

you should make anti cheat software that kick/ban you when your weapons do too much damage

Make bases SRP.
Do not grant these SRPs when it would harm gameplay or conflict with NPC faction lore.
Delete the base if it causes harm, is used for trolling, etc... on the foundation that the SRP agreement was not kept.
Make them indestructible (as long as "the issue" is still up, after that other solutions can be found).
Allow only few bases in populated places (by strictly monitoring the SRPs and their rp)
Allow many/most rerasonable requests in periphery positions (e.g. like 30k from NPC installations) that do not massively interfere with gameplay so that everybody can have a base if he/she wants. Some base positions simply made no sense and this could fix it.

How about no one cares about bases. They were cancer as it was.

DPC thrive off tears so keep the discussion about them off the forum, it's not needed. We know they exist, you beat them by ignoring them until the relevant Dev's come up with a fix for the exploit.

I didn't know they were here. That's why I asked. I'm not the QQ kind believe me.

I dislike the idea. Lot of people don't have the time or effort to put in an SRP even though everyone deserves to have a base. As I see current bases either cause no problem or are RP'd properly. No need to mess with them.

One more thing. Just think about the name: Freelancer
For me the flavor of the game always lied in its freedom. Okay we got rules and ID restrictions but they're reasonable and as realistic as they can be! Otherwise - I'm free! And I would like to see that freedom in PoBs too!
