as i see it, you need to watch and leanr when an npc is going to dock at a lane, as in dont try to get infront of him at the last second, you might be quick at getting in the lane, but remember they might be 6k behind you, your going to bump/die

I don't think I've ever been killed in a trade lane, but I have killed people before, mostly when on caps.

People always seem to try to push infront of me when docking with a trade lane, and then act surprised when the bow of my ship splits thier aft secion in half.

Don't try and push infront of other ships, then this should never happen to you.
