How old was the building? Did it show before any cracks or signs of weakness? Man I can see if the architect is alive he's gonna have a haaaaaaard time now.

Pretty new, I'd say year 2011. It was ok, before someone got a briliant idea, to setup some kind of winter garden on roof, and probably, haven't checked building's structure, and maximal loads.
Many ppl says, that there were alarm signal, around hour before colaps happened, but personal ignored it. Something like: Before our manager would approve "alarm status", we can't abandon work station.
And building burey, building owner being questioned by police very hard. However, it won't return those lives which were lost. May they rest in peace.

You realize that you don't need to actually see anything for a building to collapse?
There are fractures that can be caused by creep/crawl and only after a certain period of time will have an immediate effect in matter of days after a long time with everything looking all good. To someone who isn't into building, like a civilian engineer (rather than the architect who do more designing than actually planning the building's core and fundamentals), it might be hard to notice signs of creep and crawl effects (especially in concert) and to a non-trained eye it would probably be impossible.
At any rate, it really is saddening to hear about the death of all those people, and my heart really goes out to them.
