Echoed voice: Don't you find it odd that there all dying and fighting just to bring you to one small little backwater planet?
Kristy Pryde: Yes, why would they do such a stupid as to cause all this bloodshed, for one person, why couldn't they just let me die?
I don't know, maybe there worried about you, maybe they want to follow your path?
No, my path is litter with the corpse's of the dead, the ones who served and died for me, for my Ideas and dreams, they should want that, noone should ever want death to complete there goals
So why don't you stop them?
How can I, im floating in a tank.
Well, there is one way, why not just let go?
Let go?
yes let go, let go of your bonds to normal life and just give in to death.
theres so much I haven't done yet, so much i still want to do.
Your freind Kreig did, he choose the Faster path, a bullet to the temple, think of it an endless sleep frought with peaceful dreams.
-------Sir, radiation is leaking into the Medical area!!------------------
You hear that, now your bodys being bathed in radiation, even if they did save you, you'd be a deformed cancerus shell.
No, im stronger than that, Ive faced far more than this, I can pull through.
Are you sure, think of it, you can see your mother and father again, Kreig and all your freinds are waiting for you jst to fall asleep.
No, im not going to give in to any of this, I choose life, no matter the side effects.
Fine Life it is then, Know this Chanceller, when you do wake up you will have forgotten all you once know and the road ahead of you will be made of the dead you killed....

Dab: Xizer forget about Zerstoren, dock on the Ableben and get rid of the intruders there. The commandos should still be ready for you in the docking bays. I'll take care of Zerstoren.
Dab sighted the lucky bomber that had destroyed more than he had any right to in a fighter. He turned towards him on a head to head pass. Zerstoren let go two nova torpedos, but Dab easily dodged them. he pumped his 4 Tizona Del Cids into his shields, and once they were down he let lose on his hull with everything he had. Zerstoren's bomber lost a wing and was trailing smoke when something clicked in Dab's mind. The two ships passed each other during his reveree and Zerstoren turned toward the Schadel before his ship could explode.
Dab:Chanceller don't listen to it. He is only trying to destroy you. You die and the houses will kill each other off and rip the galaxy apart.
********************************
The Enterprise responded to the Frankfurt fleet with every turret it had. The two battlegroups were almost evenly matched due to the arrival of the Beta battlegroup, consisting of 1 battleship, 4 cruisers, and 15 gunboats, as well as 20 fighter wings.
********************************
A third of the Rheinland cruisers had been destroyed along with 40 gunboats. The Schadel was dead in space, and the fighter wings were slowly diminishing in size. The Rheinland fleet no longer had numbers on their side, and all but a few of their bombers were destroyed.
The AW fleet had only lost 15 cruisers, 25-30 gunboats, and half of it's fighters. The 4 battleships, including Ableben and Leviathen, were slaughtering the Rheinland's remaining cruisers.
*************************(so many *** no?)***
Yet again Dab could sense another set of turmoil going on somewhere, quite a ways away from the battle though. He could feel two though patterns fighting each other, but what for he could not tell. They were too far away. He just hoped that whichever mind got control took long enough for the battle to end.
DarkStar glared at the offending screen. News was trickling in, and he didn't like it.
"If those AW fools continue to interfere, then the whole plan will be ruined. Ruined! And that is unnacceptable!"
With that he turned to a comm screen and opened a secure transmission. This was based on an entire new language, and then encoded. Nobody could crack it, and they woud have been hard-pressed to even find it. The massage went out to all the Phantom ships.
"Sir we have an incoming from DarkStar himself." This gave Arouk a chance to push Virus down into submission just enough to be able to talk properly. Well... almost...
"Patch it through."
DarkStar: "Our plans are in jepordy. If the AW continue to attack the Rhinland forces, then the plan is lost. Fly to the Gamma Unknown. Engage the AW. Our hatred for them overtakes our hatred for the Houses. The AW, must DIE! Slaughter them to the last man! Leave none alive!"
Virus could hear the transmission. He knew that Arouk knew more about the ship he was on than he did. He let go a bit from existance. Well.... At least it gives Rheinland a fighting chance.
"Alert all ships. We're engaging in mass force." Imediately a Battlestar Advanced decloaked and lumbered forward slowly being followed by a huge number of random ships. Nomad battleships, Nomad gunboats, Rheinland gunboats, cruisers, Liberty Cruisers even. Every ship you could possibly imagine was decloaking. A good five battleships including Virus'. Forty to fifty Cruisers. Uncountable numbers of gunboats and fighters.
"Open a channel. Rheinlanders, we have a greater hatred for the AW than we do for you. We would much rather see the house come out of this battle. All phantom ships! Decloak and engage the AW scum! Kill without mercy! Take no prisoners!" With a movement he signaled the officer to cut the channel.
The fighters flew in wings of five. They flew as though they were connected to each others minds. One would cover the others mistakes imediately leaving every fighter that decided to take on one of these packs decimated. Gunboats hung back as battleship defense while the Nomad Battleships fired Inferno turrets again and again into whatever capship came into range. Shortly after the shields dropped a Three bomber/two fighter wing would decloak and vaporize as much of the ship as possible in one run then disappear off tracking. Phantom gunboats cruisers and fighters flew protection for Krieg's battleship while Virus' Battlestar lumbered ever closer.
The only AW ship that wasn't taking damage, other than to its turrets was the AW Flagship with the Black Legion on-board.
Among the ships decloaking included Devastator and Mayhem. Responding to rumors of the forces amassing they had moved into an appropriate position to be within reasonable calling distance of the Gamma Unknown. Approaching at full cruise, the Devastator decloaked and unleashed its firepower, ripping apart several gunboats and knocking aside over a dozen fighters before they even had a chance to react. Following the Devastator several Phantom fighters including Mayhem would clean up the stunned pilots before they could regain control over their fighters.
Approaching from the side of the AW fleet, the Devastator unleased a small present before verring away to rejoin the phantom advance. A dozen nomad/phantom designed ships were quickly launched that looked like small freighter-sized versions of the front of a Nomad Battleship*...but more...piercing.
Incredibly fast, they moved at cruise speed towards the heart of the AW fleet making it next very difficult to stop them. Two managed to be stopped by stray missiles, but the rest rammed head-on into the larger AW cruisers and battleships where they punctured through each ship's shields and hull like a knife through butter...unleashing their cargo onto the AW vessels.
AW Vessels: "HULL-BREACH...INTRUDER ALERT"
*OOC: Cross the front end of a Nomad Battleship with a Magog Swarm ship (Andromeda) and you get the general picture.
... "HULL-BREACH...INTRUDER ALERT!!!..." interrupted by a shake of a torpedo hit "... decks 7, 9, 13-16 lost! Hull integrity is now below 30%! Damage critical!" said ensign Kristiansen.
The Maul was heavily battered... Massive holes in it's hull and the nomad/phantom assault ships sticking out made it look odd. It lost almost half the original crew it had. The Maul began loosing control...
"Shield restored!"...
"And now these new things...! The shield won't last long" Nightfall sat in the captain's seat... with all the comotion around on the bridge and the shakes and the explosions... the lights flickering...
"Clear your mind..." he remembered his master's words. He had the sensation of himself bursting out of his body... out of The Maul... out of the battle, so he could watch it from distance and see it entirely. He saw the decimated Rheinland fleet. He saw the heavily damaged Asgard Warrior fleet. He looked upon the newly appeared Phantom fleet (their cloak devices couldn't stop this vision).
"Quite a hopeless situation, my padawan!" said the Voice from the other side "How will you get out of this? An advice, do you require?"
The Time stopped.
The Movement stopped.
Even the rays of light from the energy weapons stopped.
Explosions stopped from spreading their deathload, now looked like great balls of bright light.
Everything became a still hologram.
Nightfall saw what he was looking for: The Tarja, shields at 65%, no hull damage, it's solaris turrets cutting through groups of phantom fighters. The Juggernaught a few "Ks" from the battle, full battlegroup comming in hot...
"No Master, I appreciate the offer though!... But I think I know the answer to my questions. I will share it with you... The Time has come for Sacrifice!"
"Maybe this is a good day to die, my padawan, but remember that escape from death is appreciated if you can do it" said Master Lo-Gon.
"Ah! But my Master, I thought of just sacrificing the Ship, not the crew or myself, not more than necessary anyway."
"Good thinking, my padawan! May I remind that a future lies on the path of the Chancelor if she is saved and brought back to Life. A rather uncertain future, but if she dies, it will bring a disballance in the Force and the Dark Side will prevail."
"I know what to do, Master, thank you for the Time!"
This said, the Time moved forward... the explosions took their toll, the energy beams hit and missed their targets...
Nightfall shouted the orders:
"Ensign, order all hands evacuate the ship! Fighter bay, ready my Talon and cramble all fighters! Escape pods set course for the Tarja and the Juggernaugt's battlegroup, rendezvous and seek refuge! Commander Oradea, follow me to engineering"
Not long after, in the engineering section, final preparations for Nightfall's surprise to the phantom fleet were in the making...
The escape pods, along with fighter escorts were pushing through heavy flak fire from phantom ships... one of the Suicide Kings escorts - Manincap dodged a pair of incoming Nova torpedoes, dropped a Supernova mine taking the attacking fighter's shields, he veered, turned 180 degrees and started shooting, his overpowered Talon's guns quickly taking care of the two, now inexistent, attacking fighters. Some of the escape pods never made it to their destinations as were tratored in by phantoms.
On the Maul, the work is done...
"Allright, men, we have done all that we could here, time to abandon ship" said Commander Oradea "Vice Admiral, your Talon is ready, along with a wing of Suicide Kings and the ATrans, as you ordered"
"Good job men, set course for the major concentration of the phantom/rheinland capital ships! they'll have a surprise when they blow up The Maul. Abandon ship!"...
The Maul carried on, unmanned, automatically firring his Solaris and Mars turrets at enemy fighters in random patterns... Nightfall and his Suicide Kings wing escorted the Suicide Kings ATrans to the Rheinland Flagship...
"We don't have much time until The Maul reaches it's final destination, it's do or die, men! This is Vice Admiral Nightfall, to all Fighters and bombers! Bring down the shields of the enemy capitals, clear a path for The Maul! Juggernaught battlegroup engage targets with full force, cover the fighters! ATrans, be ready to board the Rheinland Flagship, quickly etract the Chancelor and clear out of there!"
The mission went smoothly with all the confusion on the crippled Rheinland Flagship. The Suicide Kings left it's fighterbay with the Chancelor onboard the ATrans. The Chancelor was safe to a point, as the ATrans was a heavily armored transpors capable of taking on a nomad battlegroup on it's own and barely loosing 25% of it's shields. **This is NOT power play, I tested it last night!**
"This is Manincap, Vice Admiral, I see an opening in The Devastator's fighterbay!" he was taking down fighter after fighter as if he was an ancient Viking Berserker, at the highest of his strength. Again he dodged another torpedo and he took down the phantom fighter firing it "I told you the torps are too slow for me you phantom b*stards! Sir, I have a few Supernovas left, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Do your thing, brave warrior! It was an honor having you on my side!" said Nightfall encouraging the brave but suicidal act of the young pilot.
The Maul has reached the middle of the heaviest concentration of enemy capital ships, it stopped there and it's modified AI started ripping through targets of opportunity... every weapon it had fired at double rate.
"Valhalla, here I come!" screamed Manincap directing his Talon through the fighterbay doors of The Devastator, releasing the remainder of his supernova mines behind him. He hit a fighter inside the bay, his speed bounced him into a group of fuel containers at the back of the fighterbay, with the five supernova mines he dropped detonating at the same time causing massive damage from inside the fighterbay of the Devastator. The Devastator was crippled and left floating dead in space as it's power generators failed. Manincap saw a bright flash of white light... then nothing...
"All AW forces, retreat, keep clear of The Maul's blast" shouted Nightfall.
Moments after that The Maul's engines exploded, ripping apart everything that had no shield, sending a swarm of reprogrammed nanobots to "eat" the hull of anything they fell on... thus destroying most of the enemy forces along with some AW ships left there damaged beyond any repair and disabling every single ship and fighter caught in the blast.
**this is to even the odds a bit, too many ships in one place**
**I'll post the aftermath in a while**
EDIT: here's the aftermath:
ONBOARD THE ABLEBEN, after the shockwave
"Status report!" ordered Lord Captain Dab.
"The Juggernaught battlegroup survived almost completely unaffected as they all had shields except 2 cruisers that were destoyed along with 2 fighterwings caught in the blast without shields.
The Battlestar Tarja is floating disabled.
The Rheinland Flagship, Leviathan and Ableben are as they were since they weren't caught in the blast.
The Devastator is floating crippled.
Mayhem was engaging somewhere out of the blast, so he's still causing mayhem whithin the Juggernaught battlegroup.
Most nomads and phantoms remaining ships disabled and crippled, lots destroyed.
Everyone has in fact a battlegroup remaining and two other battleships (heavily damaged) operational."
"Good, the odds are more to our advantage now!"
"Lord Captain, this is Nightfall, we have the Chancelor onboard the ATrans secured, awaiting orders!"

Major Alpha 429 stood on the bridge of the Leviathan as it traveled to the top secret Hammerfest Base with it's VIP's. With the location of the base so secret that all blast shields had been lowered to block out the view and the bridge staff in their quarters the Major was all alone on the bridge.
Major Alpha: hmmm Dab's judgement on this matter is absolutely correct but our second guest might not be too pleased.
Still sitting there he makes the desicion
Major Alpha: I think i should go and see my old friend.
With that he got up and went to the med bay where he dismissed the doctor. He walks over to the chancellors tank.
Major Alpha: Kirsty my old friend what have they done to you.
He looks at her and smiles at seeing one of his few remaining best friends for the first time in a decade. He walks over to the second tank and chuckles.
Major Alpha: Admiral you really dont think that i beleive for a second that a bullet to the head could kill you and judging by doctor Hikari's report neither does he.
A noise informs him that they have arrived at their location. He returns to the bridge and hails the Hammerfest.
Major Alpha: Hammerfest base this major Alpha 429 of the Battlestar Leviathan we have arrived with the Chancellor and Admiral Kreig. Orders are that i am to stay with thewm at all times and Major Gamz is to beam aboard and babysit the Leviathan.
Captain Ajear: Very well beam aboard i will meet you in med bay 1.
With that the major returned to the med bay and beamed aboard to Hammerfest. He also contacted Dab to inform him that he had arrived.

Krieg only saw blackness. It was confusing for a moment, then the events started clicking into place. The Chancelor, the AW, the battle... The pistol. Krieg groaned and slowly pulled a hand to his head. The bullet had torn up his skin real good, but the metal plate he had there, a souvenier from his time in the Black Legion when a peice of shrapnel had shattered that part of his skull, had blocked the actual bullet. Now that i'm alive... through no fault of my own... where am I? He finaly opened his eyes, greeted with the blue glow of a med tank.
He looked around the bay, finaly resting his eyes on the Chancelor beside him. Chancelor! His hand moved sluggeshly through the medical fluid, reaching the surface of the tank towards his Chancelor. She's still alive... But, where are we? He looked around the bay again, trying to find someone alive. Failing that, he again reached out in front of him and tapped on the glass.

The Rhinland fleet in Sigma 17 was decimating the AW fleet. While they were taking down ships, the Rhinlanders concentrated fire was slowly but inevitably working through the AW fleet. The Gunboats forward cannons fired and fired again, bringing more than one ship to it's firey demise. Then a gunship tagged as Feuer showed up.
"Prepare to fire on my mark... Fire!" The new energy cannon, based off of stolen liberty cruiser cannons, spat forth. The high energy beam pounded a cruiser twice the size of Feuer, ripping through the shields and digging a flaming hole through the ship. When the Feuer finaly stopped fireing, the ship in question was holed from bow to stern. The Rhinland fleet was going to win.
"Attention all AW ships! You are outnumbered and outgunned! Surrender now and we will spare your lives! You have 15 seconds to comply!"
***
The Black Legion boarders had a very specific purpose. Once they found a terminal on the ship, they barracaded around it and let a hacker do his or her job. With three hackers all working to the same goal, it was only a matter of time before the codes fell away and they had access to the ship. The first thing done was to deactivate all the turrets. That done, they raided the archives for information on the AW. They took everything; Weapons schematics, ship designs, personel rosters, everything they could get their hands on. And when that was done, there was only one thing to do... Self-destruction.
Two of the boarding squads had another mission. Secure an evac.
"Sir! Glad to have you aboard!" The AW marines on the ship had assembled in the docking bay. It was a mess of fighters, H-fuel, missiles, mines, torps, techs, and debreis.
"Three of the squads are stationary on the ship. The other three are..." A loud explosion cut him off, but this wasn't from the ship-to-ship combat. The doors to the rest of the ship were blown apart, and through the smoke came the Black Legion. Their Hellfire Lazer Rifles let a torrent of deadly energy into the bay. Techs and marines died, h-fuel tanks exploded, missiles and mines detonated, torps were set off, and the Black Legion stormed into the dockign bay. One of the marines grabbed Xizer and dragged him into cover.
"Are here, sir." He smiled wryly. "Guess they don't like us very much."
He peaked over the edge of the spare wing they hid under. "****... They've got cover and I count at least two squads of 'em." He pulled his head back quick when a burst from one of the commandos in question put holes in thwir cover. "D*mn it... We're pinned down sir!"
There was a "Fwomp!" and a missile screamed down the docking bay, impacting into a fighter trying to take off. The ship spun and fell back to the deck plates, the cockpit belching smoke and fire.
"Aww great... They got rocket launchers too!"

Hammerfest Base unknowen location. Major Alpha 429 walks into med bay 1 to find Admiral Kreig awake in his tank.
Major Alpha: Admiral, nice of you to wake up. Im only in to check up on you two but i have to go and tell the Reinland fleet in sigma17 to go home and ill be back soon so we can have a little chat about the Chancellor.
He walked towards the door and stopped.
Major Alpha: Oh and dont worry Admiral you are not prisoners but guests. You will find i dont take freinds prisoner especially when she is in such a state.
He walked out and headed for the command deck. When he got there he set up a comm channel on a frequency that was impossible to trace.
Major Alpha: Captain Scholt this is Major Alpha 429 of the AW, I am informing you that we have the Chancellor and Admiral Kreig alive, no harm will come to them but i would suggest that for everyones sake that you pull out of Sigma 17 and go home now.
He rerouted the comm channel to his comm badge and left the command deck and headed for med bay 1 to discuss the Chancellors condition and possible treatments with Admiral Kreig.

Dab: Alright we got what we came for. All forces pull back to Theta. Any ships that are combat worthy had directly to Sigma-17.
There were still 2 battleships, 15 cruisers, and 10 gunboats still combat worthy.
Ensign: ETA to Sigma-17 15 minutes.
Dab: Connect me to the Enterprise. Korrd we are on-route to your location, try to hold them off for a couple more minutes. Oh and also... missions accomplished we got what we came for.
*******************************
The Sigma-17 battle in contrast to the Unknown battle was going badly for the AW. Though the AW pilots and ships were far more skilled the sheer amount of enemy ships were starting to take their toll on the AW forces. Cruisers and gunboats were being destroyed continuesly. But throughout the battle the Enterprise looked still like the ship it was when first built. Well stolen at least. The Enterprise's enhanced shields had not yet dropped below 50%. The single ship had already accounted for half the enemy fleet's losses and was continuing to take down more cruisers.
******************************
Xizer on comm: Sir we have Black Legion troops in the officer docking bay. I request that you shut the bay doors then cut out the lights. Marines use your night goggles.
The bay door ground shut and the lights flicked out taking the Black Legion troops by surprise. The marines made a dash to the door to the rest of the ship, one of them throwing a bomb on the shuttle they were getting ready. He was almost to the doorway when one of the BL troops shot him. The door shut behind the remaining marines and they could hear the explosion in there.
Xizer: Alright lets get the rest of them. Lord Captain they are infiltrating our terminals. I suggest you turn off the main computer.
Dab: You better have a good reason for this. Have the two cruisers ahead of us get tractor beams and pull us along, then shut sown the main computer.
After that had all been done every light in the ship turned off, along with any other thing connected to the ship for power. The only terminal left for them that they could use was the one on the bridge, and that they would find was the hardest yet to get to. The group stalked out to get rid of the other Black Legion teams on the ship.
*********************************
Dab: Send a transmission to Vice Admiral Nightfall. Order him to have at least 3 battleships and their escorts guarding the station that we have the chanceller at all times. By the time any fleet gets through the outer defenses that would be enough to drive them back.
*********************************
The Ableben has arrived at Hammerfest.
Dab walked out and the Ableben and soon after it undocked and headed to Sigma-17. The 2 platoons of marines easily able to kill or capture the rest of the Black Legion troops aboard. After it was obvious that the Ableben had turned off its main computer and they knew they would not get what they needed the troops in the docking bay had escaped on some of the remaining fighters, leaving the 3 teams at the terminals behind.
Dab: Ah Hello Admiral.
Dab said as he walked into the medical rooms. He took a quick look and saw the Chanceller still unconsciense due to the wounds inflicted upon her.
His eyes glazed over for a second.
Dab: I see your still mad at me Admiral, but make no mistake we had not wanted to take you. Your council would have made your chanceller into a dehumanized beast had she made it to Alaska, without looking for any other alternative means of saving her life.
He took a seat in the one chair in the room, one that gave him an undisturbed view of the chanceller.
His eyes glazed over again and he missed Kreig's reply, completely forgetting the admiral's presence.
The bomb that went off scattered the Black Legionairs, but they were a hardy and stubborn people. The hacker teams, once the power was out, moved to do this the old fasioned way. They headded off towards the Reactor room themselfs. Arriving, they blasted the doors open with sachel charges and proceeded to kill every tech they saw. More charges were set and hidden, and the Black Legionairs moved off to the docking bay, stealthy and invisible.
The Black Legionairs in the docking bay, having determined they were the only ones in it alive after the blast, went about prepping one of the armored transports for departure. They still had a job to do after all.

A message from the fleet in Sigma 17 came back. It was not, however, an AW signal. It was Rhinland.
"You are too late, Major. Those who have not surrendered by now have been destroyed."
A video clip came up, showing the wreakage of the battle. Several cruisers and a battleship from Rhinland could been seen, but in the center was the Enterprize, it's bridge nothing more then a blackned and smoking pit in the hull, listliss and lifeless. Other AW ships were being towed to Kurile, and a pack of Junkers were already at work on the remains of the battle.
"You will return the Chancelor and Admiral Krieg to us at once, or you will suffer the consiquences."
The camera panned left, and you could see more reinforcements arriving. The Sieg Attack Group was now the most deadly force ever known. No other fleet even came close it it's size.
"If you wish to stop further bloodshed, then you will comply with our wishes and leave us alone. You have untill we arrive in Gamma Unknown to comply."
The signal was cut.

Docters had taken Krieg out of the medical tube and placed a bandage over his head. Krieg squinted at Major Alpha from underneeth it.
"I hate to be rude, but what the hell does your 'Lord Captain' think he's doing?" The words 'Lord Captain' were spoken with such venom and hate that the docters were suprized Dab didn't just keel over and die right then.
