Just returned to FL after a long break - just messing around with discovery in single player (great mod btw)

Noticed that the bigger Frieghters (anything > Armoured Trans) cant dock at planets?

Are there any exceptions to this?

Does this also apply to Cap Ships like gunboats and better?

(Still building up my funds to afford one hence the questions)

You have to use the mooring fixtures.

Just to clarify,

The mooring fixtures located on top of the docking ring are dockable, allowing large ships to dock within the planet. If you have trouble docking within stations, you can dock by pressing F3 either at the top of the station's tip or at the bottom's. If you would like screenshots to explain what I meant, please don't hesitate to PM me.

BTW Welcome to the forums!

Thats perfect! Cheers.

I dont have too much docking trouble at stations (I knew the f3 trick) but sometimes getting out again I get stuck. Any options there? Sometimes re-docking and then hitting free flight seems to work, but cant find a consistent way.

Only tends to happen on those stations with inwards folding doors. Ames Research and Gas Miner Ogashawa spring to mind.

If your stuck in a base just hit cruise and sit there holding the ship pointing in the same direction and eventually you slide out.
