How to do cruising trick

We should totally make a tips and tricks thread. I had an idea for a video like this, but it got thrown into the "To-Do" bucket.

You know, F4ing on NPCs to get through gates, using F9 to view the players ship 10k away, using a class 6 shield on transports to make bombers mad. That sort of thing.

Meh, its no exploit to become better. Once you know you know, thats the diffrence between being an experienced 'pilot' or not. And it always seems that no matter how well you think you the game there's always more to take in.

I read this a long time ago in The Hackers manual. It's a game feature not exploit. Is droping lanes with a mine an exploit? Is fast docking an exploit?

How do you fast dock?

Its in the LH manual as well.... unless you mean quick-docking

what you do for JHs or JG is that u go as close as possible to their entrances and dock. Same with Trade Lanes.

If docking at bases you either go as close as possibly to the mooring points OR you go to the little towers sticking out of the bases that look like control towers and dock there OR on a rock-based base you dock when your up against the little glass bulb that sticks out of the rock.

Thanks nOmnomnOm , I didn't know any of that. Some bases are really hard to dock in with large transports so that will come in handy. Ive never seen the LH handbook. (LH = Lane Hacker?)

Lane Hacker Handbook for all you trick needs

Some bases are more trickier than others but they all hold the same pattern. (or most if not all)
If you dont know a quick-dock spot just fly around on a smaller ship and test different locations. The control tower or the glass bulb on rock bases are your first choice.
