Know the feeling. Spend a few months at the bottom of the pool washing dishes, and I now start my NEW job for 40k a year that I've been trying to get since July!

Yeah that sucks I had it happen to me when I was part of a Union of Commercial Food Worker. They were ineffectual as far as I'm concerned and existed to collect a piece of everyone's wages. Got stuck sitting on employment insurance for a little bit and continued having a hard time finding a job so I created mine and became a Taxi broker for awhile. That all feels like a lifetime ago, I kinda recall it was tough times but I'm perfectly fine now. Don't lose motivation and be stubborn, you might be able to shake this off easier then you think.
