Hello good people of disco world!
Me and a friend have considered creating a Gallic Brigand faction. We have noticed there is no official faction currently and wondered if we would get any support in doing this? If you are interested then post below or if you have any HELPFUL advice (No offensive comments about the plan please) then feel free to post below as well.

Do it. It's been a while since we had a GB faction. You may want to look into the last (as far as I know) Brigand official faction, not to copy the concept, but simply for some references.

The Legion Des Damnes weren't truly Brigands, as they had their own roleplay that they used the Brigand lore/ID to fit into. Other factions, although not official, have come and gone since then. One such is the Salopards, who tried to have a more pure approach to the faction. Having been a part of both of those factions, I'm looking forward to seeing how well this one turns out.

Furthermore, as the Unione Corse leader and an occasional Maquis player, it'll be great to see some more allies floating about in Gallia.

And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."

Did the Salopards even launch into space?

Anyway, the black fleet was another one but they died too. Good luck.

Posting the info page in this sub-section will draw enough attention.

I'd say go for it. Some have tried but it never really caught on. Would be nice to see some in-Gallia problems for the Royals to deal with as they set out to conquer.
Sounds kinda fun.

Well, Brigands run the primary risk of not having enough traders to pirate in Gallia. While Corporations are working to get people moving into Gallia, especially ALG and the kusari corps...it's still not a very friendly place for piracy.

I'd suggest basing your start in the Taus. Brigands had things going with the Outcast, so I'd pick up from that. Pirate IMG and the many denizens of Tau-23 and Tau-31 a great deal, and prowl Tau-31 looking for people passing through. Maybe interdict the occasional GRN shipment.

It'll require work, but it can be fun.
