So. Factions.

Well, after some thinking, i've decided to kick-start one of my plot-lines(Character) i've been running periodically throughout my stay here.

In light of this, i'm looking for a faction which provides ample RP opportunities, preferably of a research sense. What are a few good factions which provide such opportunities? Official, or Unofficial, doesn't matter to me.

I'd love any suggestions you people may be thinking of, thanks in advance!

PS. I won't PvP for you. I flat-out refuse to do that willingly anymore.

Phoenix Zoners are one... Then again, I am in the Phoenix and I am the head of Research and Development... So I'm a little biased.

Technically the Libery Navy has the External Security & Research Division, which is sort of like The Order, if The Order was a part of the Libertonian military. We could definitely use more people who're interested in that sort of roleplay style. As it stands currently we don't have the people to maintain an active presence by that "unit", in game. :/

The Bundschuh don't have a real "research" component (we leave that to The Order) but we're a cadre of elitist elites with the desire to destroy all fun on the server.

That said, most of us really enjoy (and sometimes overdo) forumlancer-ing and the VWA accommodates a wide variety of character concepts.

Unlike the tons of quite-out-of-context posts (Yes, I am talking about all the research departments that suddenly came into being), I would give a shot to either Cryer, Ageira, Synth foods, Solar Engineering or Planetform, Kishiro, Order, Some Zoner groups. All of these are factions that base themselves around research.

You could also look at the major ship-builders like DSE, Samura/Kishiro, BMM, DHC, GMS/EFL.
These also have an extensive development search meant for the building of their ships, over their normal operations. And as you know (or now going to) developing new ships and weaponry takes an extensive research.
