Share with community something you saw that you find amazing, beautiful or whatever.

I'd like to share something quite amazing that i saw few years ago.
I cannot remember the exact date nor year. What i surely know is that it was summer, around 3-4 AM, i came outside of my house and around ten straight white lines. Those lines were something like airplain traces but much bigger. Those lines were getting longer from hour to hour.
I think all that was "meteor shower" but i am not sure, all i know is that was amazing sight.

aliens. fo'sure.

I was standing on top of oldoinyo lengai, the world's only nyererite volcano, watching the sun go down over the ngorongoro caldera. I had shivers down my spine, standing in the birthplace of humanity.

I posted about this here the night it happened, but a few years ago here in Texas, we had a MASSIVE ice storm by our standards that shut down the entire city. All power was out All streets were empty All pets were inside & all the feral critters were buckled down. All the insects were dead or dormant & there was no wind, no traffic, & no urban white noise whatsoever. NONE AT ALL. Period. The city was utterly & completely dead. The only sound I could hear was the voice in my head & it wasn't until that night that I truly realized for the first time in my life what silence sounded like.

It was simultaneously the most beautiful & terrifying thing that I''ve never heard.

...I simply have no other words that can explain how that actually felt.

Birth of my son.

Are you talking about that storm we had during the Super Bowl?

I think so.Yeah. Right 'round about then. I can't say it was that night specifically...I just remember stepping outside on the back porch for a cigarette in the wee hours & breaking down in tears when I finally realized what I was experiencing.

Space. Nebulas, stars, planets, anything; for me, space is the most beautiful place in the whole universe.
