I think you missed my point. I was referring to the vanilla Osiris. I think that thing could remain cloaked for as long as it wanted to.

Hence, human cloaks can be infinite.

Well here are all the logs I could find, apart from one liners that didnt lead to any RP and got ignored.

Its probabyl as much a pain to read them as it was to try to cut out the unrelated parts such as death and server messages, but hear you go.

Having re-read them I assume you are one of the rather unfriendly navies, but if you want to keep it secret suit yourself.

Synopsis:
Spud is a genetically engineered human/nomad hybrid, whose human part of the DNA was retrieved from a human 16 year old girl who entered the shrine. The goal of Spud's creation was to create infiltrators who can still communicate woth the mindshare, but which show no visible signs of infection such as the nomad parasite.

The gene-manipulation experiment was 90% succesful, with some still to be resolved side effects such as blue hair and purple blood.

To be a succesful infiltrator, received basic training and information from Nomads and Wilde, but to complete here education she was sent into house space, in order to learn to mix with humans on her own. Since she was sent into house space only a few months after her creation, she still has to perfect her speech ability, social skills, and knowledge of human interaction. Naturally, still has to mature and develope rhetoric and motoric skills.

Because her current ship and piss-poor capability of interacting with humans would immediately expose her as a nomad and lead to her capture or destruction, naturally she stays cloaked most of the time.

This was actually the first interaction Spud had with a human, in a trade lane.

Following this, spud silently followed the next best ship around, interested her because of base building activity and happened to be a junker. I made sure I flew close enough to the junker that he would notice me through the engine sound, entered trade lanes and gates before him so he would notice me and kick of a RP interaction.

I'd also like to add that I could have done the exact same RP of a nomad pretending to be human as a freelancer IDed freelancer, but chose the cloak because I thought it would lead to more interesting RP.

In the meeting to Rachita (second human I talk to) it's already hinted that Spud wishes to aquire a human ship so she can mingle with humans more easily.

Infinite cloaks make it so that problems within a certain area of space can never be gotten rid of unless the enemy chooses to decloak. They are a perfect trolling tool, for those who would want to do it - I can talk as much crap as I want on system chat eg. propaganda, liberty corrupt, everyone hates me, why you so mean, threats etc, and nobody can do anything to get rid of you until you choose to decloak and then choose not to cloak when you're about to die. It's the same as, say SCRA doing it off the plane before - its lame and stupid.

It does not lead to interesting RP, it leads to one side constantly frustrating the other. You're forcing people to listen to you, without giving them recourse to remove you from the premises. Essentially it's a onesided interaction.
