As already stated in the original post, we're not intending to bring the "Phantoms" back, or remake them as a closed terrorist group and the name is only used to let the community know which faction assets is the subject of this announcement, but furthermore, we will no longer be instantly denying any faction concept or attempt that may involve technology or assets currently labeled as "Phantoms" ingame, and unlike what some people have been claiming merely to heat things up a bit, using the roleplay material belonging to someone else without their permission has never been and will never be allowed, and the subject is not even remotely related to intents of this announcement.

what happens to the phantoms on t'other servers? disco not supporting other servers anymore (cos if you change this mod you change those mods too, amirite?)

MInd you, I wouldn't be even vaguely surprised if this is exactly what the 'Minz are planning.


Edit: Disco mainserver comes before other servers, Coin. The mod is for the disco main server; the others have minimal (in most cases, non existential player counts).

I think we don't need the phantoms as there were. Because of there technologie of ships and equipment there were better than all other factions. If this piece of them would be changed they would be MAYBE a accapteble faction.

If I know somethingh, than I know that Im not knowing all.

Does disco owe it to all other servers to be their primary support? Unless they're paying for it...tough crap, imo.

Sure but what will this add to the mod that Wilde or Aoi couldn't do aren't doing already? I'd much rather see 5 new Wilde or Aoi members than 1 more peripheral import/non-lore faction.

The other servers are burrowing Disco's creativity at their own discretion so they are at our whim. They do get support when they ask for it but it's more technical in nature and all about goodwill. Most know what they are doing and know how to make changes more suitable to their server's needs anyways.

If the first quote is right then it conflicts directly with the second one.
In order not avoid contradiction if both quotes are right I read the second one like this:
" We would remove the phantom NPC faction and install something else on its place, something with other new name, new lore, new infocards and new ships".

I can assure the admin/dev team that this effort is pure idiotic time waster when the server is laggy and unbalanced piece of cake.

When I put on my tinfoil hat I can't help but think that this phoom stuff (and similar cosmetic additions lately) is a diversion to take away focus on the real issue: A game so laggy it is barely playable.

I know admins and devs are the true makers of this mod and community, and we are in a way their guests and should appreciate that, which I wholly do, but from an outside perspective it seems like priorities are a bit messed up at the moment. We're dealing with purple engines, phooms, pobs and battleship scanners when we should be focusing on entirely different matters altogether if we want the mod and community to stay somewhat healthy. If that really is the case, I would much rather that people in the know just said it like it is.

No matter how many toys we get tossed our way it won't make us stick around if the game is broken at its core, that's the simple truth.
