Yeah so...Been trying to get some pew again. A few fighters and a gunboat - red lag. Can some admin please tell me what in the shet this is about? What's causing this? It is literally unplayable like that, and instead of making more terrible design decisions you should get the server to a playable state atleast.

No more plugin/coding-wizardom, make it playable for christ sake.

Seriously, four ships on each side, who haven't even opened fire yet should not cause 30% lag.

It has to be one of the plugins that introduced in this update, I hardly remember any lag, even with pobs, it all went nuts since sept - oct, as soon as the beta showed up, the lags didnt stop since then.

Were fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

Also the lag has been around since before the player bases were reenabled. So I doubt it's them, even though they surely add to it.

Can't you try to find the problem by turning off each plugin at a time?
Preferable starting with the cheat protection, I'd guess it's that plugin that causes the lag.

Lol chainfire Isis. Those were the days

I blame POBs

No no no, Bird.
Everyone tells me it can't possibly be POBs.
No matter how many times I tell people that POB script never stops running, and there's more POBs than players most times of the day.

So thereby it can't be.
Find another straw man argument please.
K thx.

i wonder - disable pobs for 1 week, and compare latency. i know that they were disabled before, but that was during patch 2 or 3, when everyone was connecting to the server and getting updated versions etc. i wonder if they do actually make a difference, and how much effort it would be to trim the pob's functions down until they no longer cause such a laglancer?

Well. It definitely isn't just PoBs. I assume you didn't start playing here in the last few months. Remember .86? By the end there were craptons of bases, but still nowhere near the level of lag we have now.
