Have a look at the Gigabyte M8000X if you're looking for a change from the usual Razer/Logitech parade... My one is doing nicely for itself, and covers pretty much everything you want it to.

In love with my new Logitech G600 (with G440 mouse mat)

20 buttons, pretty colours, up to 8200dpi and smooth as you like.

£49.99

Alright thanks for all the suggestions. I've looked some of the mice up and it seems like there are two catergories:

£40 mice with lower dpi sensors, fewer buttons and less features

£50 mice with 7 or 8 or more buttons, high resolution sensors, weights

Is it worth paying that extra tenner for better sensors, weights and more buttons and flexibility?

If you play MMO's, the extra buttons are worth it. Hell, I have my weapon groups, CD and Mines set to my mouse.

If you don't like mouse lag, the better sensors are worth it.

Weight is always nice, too.

I've been using a Perixx MX-2000 ever since my Razer Copperhead died, and I'm finding it perfectly suitable for my needs.

After getting thrashed again and again yesterday; I went ahead and bought a "Roccat Kone Pure Optical" because I suddenly remembered I like optical mice Smile Hope it's not junk, I don't really know why I got that when I quite liked both the Gigabyte M8000X and the Perixx mouse (3rd generation is out as well, and dirt cheap) and only know Roccat from reviews, but I'm sure it will work. Thanks for the advice, if the one I got is crap I'll get one of the ones recommended to me instead.
