That very session turned out to be as difficult at the previous ones. Sakamoto was thoughtfully gazing by the car's window as it was following a traffic lane, reflecting on the turmoil affecting the Admiralty.

Unfortunately, Nagata's demise brought unforeseen troubles. Many people owed him their privileged position. Such was his modus operandi; place people he could trust in key positions. The Admiralty was forced to make concessions. Only the most dangerous - because influential - people were removed from their position.

Add to that the fact they were forced to reinstate the 'rebels' and to recognize their actions...
No wonder sessions were stormy.

He was vaguely conscious his attaché was respectfully - if not timidly - observing him from the other side of the passenger compartment. Nakahira Otsu was a thin and reserved woman, whose remarkable memory and sense of observation saved him more than once. People's gaze was generally slipping away from her after a quick examination, recognizing her as a hireling not worth of their interest. A opinion far from reflecting what the young woman actually was.

"Hes, Nakahira?" he eventually asked, believing a question was burning her lips.
"Eto.. Sakamoto-san. You asked me to remind you to stop at your electoral district center."
"True." He replied, slightly frowning. He was remembering how the others Jumped on Ishikawa a few hours ago. It appeared a few members of the first circle were pressuring their subordinates and their peers to vote for the Sunrise party.

Inadmissible.
However, granted the current situation, he could hardly afford to make new enemies. Sakamoto didn't believe the warrior caste had any legitimacy to dictate its will to the civilian population. He would have to pass the buck.

Ujisato was quietly heading to his quarters, exhausted by this long patrol in Shikoku system. Nebulas had to be constantly scanned.

All he wanted now was to eat something and fall on a bed to enjoy the six hours of sleep he was allowed to take.
He was about to execute this well thought plan when he notice an incoming transmission was waiting to be opened on the small screen serving as a communication device.

Ujisato instinctively bowed as his father appeared on the screen, realizing too late he couldn't see him. One way transmission.
Said transmission was very short. The father neglected to ask his son how he was doing, or to emit any kind of kind words. He mainly talked about the disgrace it was to ask underlings to vote - how could those even know what was best for them. It was needed to put an end on this masquerade. Ujisato was told to vote.
Once the transmission ended, Ujisato lowered his head and muttered : "Hai, Father."

For the agent 'Kiyohime', belonging to the Tokkeitai and member of the first trust circle, the political games always were a fascinating experience. The forces subtending the struggle had a source, a goal and a direction. Observing was the key to comprehension.

She knew the climax of those pretended elections would result in a tie between the Empire and Republic supporters. They fought for each single ounce of power, neglecting to see the true problems the House was facing. How unfortunate.

Someone had to stand between the dogs, in order to prevent them tearing each other apart. No matter whom would get the majority of the Parliament's seats; they would have to rely on someone in order to get an undisputed majority for key subjects.

'Kiyohime' would make sure to make that regulator element under control.

Shibata Miko did not follow politics too much. Her job as a paramilitary escort wing leader for Kishiro Technologies did not allow her to stay at the same place for too long.
As she was taking a breakfast before heading to the space-port, absent-mindedly watching the news on her kitchen's holo-device, she reminded about those elections. This was quite a rare event in Kusari; maybe it would be wise to experience it, just in case it wouldn't happen before a century or two.

Sadly, Miko did not know anything about the political parties in place. She had to browse the Neural Net for a while, in order to get a rough idea of the choices she had.

She was tempted to vote for this Crow Nebula Front, but it sounded a bit too GMG centered for her liking. After some reflection, she agreed what did matter above all was to keep her job safe. And the best way to do this was to help the Keiretsu to stay powerful.

White clouds fill the sky of New Tokyo, Musashino district, the calm streets covered white. A man and a woman walk through a gentle snow hail, leaving their footsteps on the ground carefully.

They walk into a large hall, filled with a mild and silent crowd, busying around many poll booths. The man leads the woman to a couple of booths by the corner of the hall, separated from the rest of the crowd with a little distance. He smiles and nods, "Well, then... Time to vote... as you persuaded me."

And as Jiro was persuaded by Teta, he votes for the Kusari Sunrise Party.

After reaching at the voting booths, Teta tried to remind Jiro again, with her index finger raised, how important this voting thing could be, given this Republic persists. And only the Sunrice Party would be able to counter the otherwise unstoppable destabilization process of the Kusari people as a whole, by strengthening and defending it's moral values, as she understood it.

Waving at Jiro before being separated only just for a brief moment to fill out the voting form, Teta proceeds to vote for the Kusari Sunrice Party.

The pretty reporter Sonoda Maho and the cameraman Waki-chan enter the scene afterwards. Sonoda's holding a microphone, speaking, "Konnichiwa, Kusari!" she smiles to the camera. "The people of Musashino district woke up to another snowy day," the camera rolls towards the outside, where the streets are covered in white, "But first thing in the morning, everyone got in their warm clothes and went to vote to decide the future of Kusari!"

The camera then slides back into the hall, scanning the crowd around the poll booths. "We are approaching to our booth to vote..." the camera follows her to the booth, she takes one of those ballot papers and shows it to the camera, "Many parties to choose from... Of course, our votes will be secret, and so should be yours!" She then turns back and fills it. They walk to the ballot box, Sonoda puts the vote in the box ceremonically, "And here it goes!".

Waki-chan signals that it's time, behind the camera, "See you again soon, Kusari!" Sonoda says with a bow.

What a wonderful, sunny day" he thought. "A wonderful day to give the Reformation Party my vote. For a better Kusari!" For a moment he smiled, then he opened the door and entered the room. He slowly walked to the voting booths...

Dan Mitchell, a tall Liberty born man, sat in the Captain seat of the Ichikawa when he was thinking about the election in Kusari...

"Kusari is my home for almost ten years now. Four years i'm married with my wonderful wife Miyako. Two years employee of Samura Heavy Industries. My first election as a Kusari citizen. But... am i really ready for this? I think i am!"

The Ichikawa, an Akegata class Battletransport under the Samura banner, was on the way back from Ile de France to Planet Junyo in Shikoku when the ship entered Rishiri. "Ohashi-san. Contact Misaki. Tell them we want to dock there." he said to his Communication Officer, "it's about time to take care of this election." He laughed. "Aye, aye Captain." Ohashi answered. "Captain, i am curious now, but may i ask which Party you want to support?" Mitchell smirked "Of course you may ask, Ohashi-san, but... we all have our secrets, hai?"

20 minutes later, the Ichikawa docked at Misaki. Mitchell walked down the gangway to the election booth....

Sakura Hitama and Hakiro Kaito were driving in the luxury car down the avenue.

They wanted to avoid the spot-light for now, and as Hakiro, the head of the White Lotus party, wanted to avoid attention that day he picked Sakura on the way as they discussed business.

"Sakura-san, how are the investments in the Muroto Trade Center are going? Have they yielded good income for the party in the past 2 months?

Sakura was adrift and looked out of the window on the many manifests, she didn't quite grasp what he said "Pardon, Hakiro-sensei?"

"Muroto?

Sakura quickly replied "Oh, hai, hai, our storages that we bought have yielded a very high amount of money. We received several shipments of Platinum ore that we resold at a profit of 12.4%."

The car stopped near a voting center as they inserted their votes.

Kazuki stepped in the voting line. He had little patience for matters like this and simply pushed aside anyone who was at his way, and most people were smart enough to know better to step aside, and those who didn't felt his punch quite well.

He put in his vote just the way his league expected him - the Gallic King. Kusari needed an emperor, a king, an icon. Just not the weak one that is making a poor attempt to fight his way back in.
