I think the pirate train and transport work well as gunboats of you do it right. But let me give you a word of advice: dont take anything larger than a bomber into omega 58. It will be eaten alive. This happened once to the RHA flagship. I was in my bomber, and was able to get away, but he got swarmed by 2 scorpians and 8 wraths, and didnt survive.

Yes we are considering implementing the transports as an alternative the the GB, maybe hold say 2 or 3 GB back just in case. Thought yes, for what we aim for, the transports could do the job. Thank you
Gunboats are ok if limited by ranks. I do have a gunboat. Its a shared gunboat named Leopard. I got its control when I became Oberleutnant. Although, I prefer to use my fighter. I love this kind of structure that you unlock and get access to something when you're promoted:DAnyway, good luck with the faction.
I got the power cell and the delusion in the Varyag in one sitting. Looks good, I am looking for a hessian group to put a fighter in, problem is finding one with an american time zone.
Unfortunately myself and Ors are both GMT and GMT +2 respectively. Though if we obtain members, there is every possibility that the are from your time zone or there abouts.

though we do tend to stay up late in our own timezones
Varyag, if you're east coast, the +2 is really close to American timezone, and if not, well, Lancer is -5....so both Hessian groups are in, or just outside, American timezones...and still playable.
Unlocking based on rank is well and good, but in a faction where there are only 2 things to unlock with rank, and one is a cr that has severe limitations...well, that may be a misnomer. Unless I missed something and you are leveling up the fightercraft at ranks too...I would say, instead of awarding specific ranks with bigger ships, since they will be limited, that granting them based on rank is a mistake...grant 2 or three gb, for reserve, and then use transports, but let most anyone fly a transport if they so choose, and someone will....Interesting fight that would be, a wrath vs 3 pirate trains...
The point for the HT is to come up in RP as slightly oppositional to the RHA: they were members, but have been lost for a while, and now the RHA doesn't exactly trust them. Prodigal return, and all that. So, the faction was created to engender some inter faction rivalry in the Hessians...Much like the rivalry that showed up between the SF and the QCO way back in November.
Quote:We are an unlawful faction. As Red Hessians we are in conflict with the Rhineland police, Rhineland military and major Rhineland corporations. And also the Corsairs in the nearby Omega systems. Our main enemy however is Das Wilde and the Nomads. Their mutilation and control of our dead brothers in arms disgusts and disheartens us all. They are our number 1 priority.
Suggest removing that, because the faction itself believes that it is just, right? Unless they really are just base criminals, like most of the hessians are, but if you want to be liked by the RHA, I don't think they would claim to be criminals...the would call the Rheinland government a criminal group, and cite its atrocities as justification...
Flipside of that is that they are unlawful, and out only for the money, or for kicks, or some such, and willing to admit that...which could be more fun, in a way, and give a definite point from which to be opposed to the RHA.
