I've always maintained that PVP balance can always be maintained without ruining RP by adding more ships to your formation. Powerful ship is supposed to be more powerful than unpowerful ship.

I'm willing to bet that removal or change of any other nonsensical shiplines will cause QQ and the realisation that everything they've said about the zoners doesn't apply nearly as exclusively to zoners as they might think.

If i can understand that rogue could for extra profit by selling some of their ships, i can't even imagine a such a xenophobic group like the Mollys selling anything to strangers.

Anyway, who would fly snubs that are worst than civilians or borderworld ones ?

Well, why do the pirates fly them then? Logically they have to have something going for them.

Pirates ? Pirates flying them ?

I'm not sure of what you are talking about.

I'd rather have the oposite and have Molly and Rogue tech actually have separate lines of ships for their OWN faction. You dont see BHG sharing do you? Why should they? It makes the faction unique then.

Also @Thexare you said rogues like money and would do stuff just for it.......

Sorry, been sidetracked. I meant the Z-line ships. And yes, Rogues are pirates. A lot of Mollys are too.

That's funny, I've never seen pride come up much for rogues in all my time here and all my rumor-hunting. It's always been money and drugs.

Which is fine. Not every group should have any sort of higher purpose or ideal.

*cough* img needs bs? They can on their id, but if lorewise miners (img) who are basically the workers for zoner traders and other transportation factions. Why do they have an own shipline? And even an own cruiser for hell sake (battlecruiser even) warmonger miners ? And then one complains about balance of zoner caps. If you rectify one part of the game you have to do it all.

The makers of vanilla freelancer made zoners as neutral faction, for the fixing your reputation. The img was a small group like some other small factions with no possible option to outgrow for example the house corporations/mining factions. So aim for lore.. Strip it all, it won't solve anything. Only creates more frustration between the players and makes a more sour behaviour

The logical reasons for IMG warships that I can think of are admittedly pretty thin:

- Used to be shared with the Colonial Republic, and the Colonial Republic is pretty into the whole shooting thing.
- There's a need for a small force (note that I said small) for defending against Stortas appearing and wrecking a bunch of miners -- Tau-37 is right on the Nacion's doorstep after all.

Retired, permanently.

Why not more pressing concerns first? Like the lag, tractor beam, etc.

This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
