Bring back the old Rogue Gunboat!

Rogue ships are supposed to look cobbled together. The thing here is; the Rogue Gunboat is actually a very efficient design. What is the most efficient use of volume? A cube, ideally, but a quadrilateral like a rectangle is a very close second. All the fancy ships are held together by Structural Integrity Fields; how else are some of them going to do? The Rogue GB is designed in a way that it will hold together well on its own so that power source is more accessible for the weapons arrays. The Borg had it right: simple geometric shapes are the way to go, strictly speaking.

I have fought that god forsaken device twice now, and it has killed me twice, both of those murderers are on this topic.

Once in my criuser and once in my SHF, they are easy to under estimate. I'm no PVP expert but I will kill one of those ugly contrations if it the last thing I do.

They are hard to hit with SNAMC and they turn rather quickly.

It is an amazing ship for the resources at the Rouges disposal.

I may try the unlawful side of the fence later after the characters I have now get all played out.

I personally think that ship is beautiful.
I don't know of a better looking GB..
Liberty is uglier, Orca is uglier..
Well, Lunchbox is nice also.. Those 2 are my favorites..
Rogue GB fits Rogues perfectly!
And compared to the other GB's, it's also really good.
Which can't be said for their LF's/HF's/VHF/Bomber..

to answer the ppl who saying Liberty Rogue don't have good money sources..don't forget outcast is backing them up, or hacker....and..i am not dislike the Rogue gunboat, i only dislike the model,it's like a transport, i change the ship or i just left the character there, after it changed. and i did fight some Rogue gunboats before..i can hit them with cerberus in my battlecruiser..because they are tall, and fat, and only has 6 gun.(which can't do much, can't dodge well, is a big target..)

ok then...i dare you..choose best GB out there in your opinion..hell, use old model of Rouge GB if u wish...and then stand before my new rouge GB...lets see how you do...

the hell. u crazy or summit... the Rogue gb, can rape a BATTLECRUISER ALONE (having done so myself. used mike's snowborn to do it:D). its just a matter of how you fly the thing. the gunship is fine as a BHG ship. rogue ships are big, less maneuverable, but make up for that with armour, and bigger powerplants (look at the barghest, werewolf, and whatnot >.< )

and trust me. doom, ive seen him fly one of those against a outcast dreadnought, and with a bit o help (from my merc bomber and an eagle, a while ago) and managed to get the battleship to use all the b/b before dieing (had an outcast destroyer and a fighter present at the time, attacking him too)

so, please. dont underestimate it. the BHG gunship is fine where it is.

EDIT: i almost forgot, he got the bs to 1 bar of hull, before he died too. so yeah...

you really should know that i flew both ships and raped many other ship with both models...

the thing is that i said same thing you are saying...i like BHG gunship where it is...and how it is...but i trust my rouge GB enough to go against BHG gunship anytime...:P

Haven't read the whole thread, couldn't be bothered, but I LOVE the look of the Rogue GB as it is now. And Duke, me and thor in our Rogue GB's took out 2 Corsair GB's together in them a few weeks back without either of us using bots, so it can't have been that badly nerfed.

I think that the model suits the Rogue rp, and the infocard says its a heap of junk anyway, but perhaps it should be cheaper.
