Both Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat?

I say all three of them.

If you have that much time, I'd definetely give Mass Effect a shot. If you go through everything the game offers you it's a 30 hours session of pure awesomeness.
Damn, I remember when I played that game for the first time myself. Watching the whole end credits, thinking "Fuck yeah, now where's part 2?".

I'd say go for ME or Tomb Rider. Played both, loved both. Farcry 3 ain't bad either. Assassin's Creed is fine but it will get boring if you play all of them.

Gave Bioshock a try now.

End result: I played 8 hours at a time.

The longer I played, the more I noticed that it's indeed the spiritual successor of System Shock. And I love it.
Just to name a few similarities I found out about:

- Respawn system
- Hacking
- Research
- Skilling
- Audio logs (storytelling in general)
- Meele weapon (wrench!!!)
- Splicers <-> hybrids/cyborg midwife
- turrets/cameras (alarm system)
- Weapons and ammo types
- Vending machines
- Upgrade machines
- Weapon modification machines
- Healing machines
- PSI <-> Plasmids
- Currency: rapture dollars/nanites (also ADAM/Cybernetic moduels)
- I also recognized Shodan (Fontaine?!) and the Many (Ryan)
- some areas (medical area/athletic area/garden area)
- messages on the walls
- random announcements
- ghosts/illusions
- 451 ...

The list goes on forever. And I always heard people saying, that Bioshock is nothing like SS2.

Anyways, guess I'll play Bioshock 2 and Infinite next. Afterwards I might give Mass Effect and Dead Space a try.

Finished Bioshock 2 now (and got to admit that the ending made my cry). Lovely.

Is it worth playing the DLCs? Otherwise I'll jump right next to Bioshock Infinite. Read that they recently released the last "Burial at Sea" DLC which connects the story of Columbia with Rapture. Can't wait for it. I love games with good stories/settings.
