As an uninvolved log-reader, you both kinda look like twats here.

"both"

Kinda uncalled for.

I said i dont mind really. Its not all about the blue message.

But thanks for the criticism. (y)

He means me and Flash, though. AFC guy played real good there. Kudos to him.

Close your eyes. Ignore.

So, there was this AFC fighting Flash there.

And then there was this SHF JM as well. I appeared in the scene, took on the SHF. AFC ran away meanwhile. Flash got fed from a transport who also happened to shoot me for a while, then Flash also shot me. (I am being told that Flash did not get fed at this point, and was always full through his fight with AFC. So I probably scanned them wrong beforehand which led to a misunderstanding.)

I saw AFC remaining close to me, with no bots, and knowing that with these odds I'll fail, I gave him half of my bots so he can help me take on the SHF and Flash.

It failed, SHF missiled AFC real quick. I put pressure on SHF as it ran to Cali to use its defences on me. I had to focus on Flash afterwards, who was then fed by the SHF again, before SHF ran to the sun and thinking he's away from my sight.

I fought Flash for a while and hoped to lose the NPC spam over me by moving the fight's direction to Java a bit. I told him with an OORP message this "//Sorry, trying to lose the NPC off my tail".

Meanwhile, Flash had enough advantage over me anyways. He had full bots, I had half. He still told me to not complain, which is pretty annoying, since it wasn't my intention to complain anyways.

Then they logged another missile ship (confirmed it was the same person who ran to Cali before), which simply drained my remaining 30 bots in 30 seconds as I had no chance but to rush to Java for a last second dock with barely any hull left. Through the fight, they made sure that I'd have no chance, as a player playing alone here, and even felt the need to lecture me about how much I suck.

That's the background of it. Since when is it ok to pull those moves? If IMG is making you do so, why do you act this way towards every player around? Do I have to stay away from the Taus as an indy IMG from now on? Or do I have to bandwagon and pull these moves over you?

Will you instead solve your problems or at least stop bothering us with those?

After a discussion with Impy, the person with the missile ships, I realize that there were misunderstandings involved for both sides.

However, I really hope you'll fix your problems with other players, on this gank, hug, bot share, missile spam, logging ships over and over... and stuff... unless you enjoy playing that way, which is ok in that case.

I don't know if it is accepted to be playing that way right now, and everyone is fine with it, indy or no. I realize I just can't adjust to server's game play standards. It used to be different.

You just happened to talk over private chat to a well-known sore loser anyway, Sol.

To me, this sounds like a normal case of "mad because I couldn't get my blue". It's a game, sometimes you find yourself in such a position. Get over it.

Sorry but, it's annoying when random people who have no idea what's going on come around and feel that they are entitled to post their half assed comments to feel good about themselves, thinking there's something to judge instead of a discussion that needed to happen.

You're not helping at all by being this way.

PS: Stop using these threads as +1 places.

I for one didn't mind any interaction with the JM|- so far. To me, they've been great opponents and great allies. They are a good alternative to the in my opinion boring Congress and I they are my favorite Junkers to play with.

Stuff like this happens all the time, and I can not see what's wrong with their playstyle, given it's a natural thing to adapt to your fiercest enemies strategies, as explained above by somebody else already. If at all, you should go back to the root of the problem, which is them having to adapt to the fighting style of the IMG. Your interaction was the result of said adaptation.
Trying to cut off branches that came from the root won't work, you have to get to the root of it itself. I think in your case, might be good to post in the IMG feedback too.

LordVipex pretty much said what I would say. The Marauders had to adjust so that we could effectively combat the threats in the Taus. We're also fiercely defensive of each other.

I will say that we only botfeed under the circumstances of our opponent botfeeding. It sounds like there was slight confusion though, which lead to the aforementioned not being fulfilled as normal.

Some feedback from a few weeks of intensive interaction with JM|.

In advance, I apologize to those players inside JM| that are not part of the "special" circle and who care for fair play and roleplay. I do not want to ignore the fact that these players exist.

As it will come anyway, let me say that this is no QQ. I didn't get my ass handed to me in the last days, but it is an overall feedback/criticism of a soon-to-be official faction that has taken quite a weird turn since its beginning.

Anyway, enough foreplay. Here it is:

In general one JM| pvp style is: join a fight that is already in their favour with dual missile CSV or full missile-torp Recyclers. This is not the first time, it is rather normal to have good fights unbalanced by JM joining in. Worst example so far: 4 OC vs. 2 IMG. 2 JM missile ships join, making it 6 vs. 2, of course ending the interaction immediately for all players involved.

JM| also means Y-, rather automatically. If not enough op ships are in the field, often another set of horribly broken ships with Y- tags appear. Kusari HFs, GC IDs mainly often with that missile gunboat for near-complete invulnerability.

JM| ships sundive rather frequently. Especially those missile-torp Recyclers that have blown off their own equipment suicide into suns. Same is true for some fighter that cannot win a 1on1 duel surprisingly and then rather sundives when low on regens.

Quite some JM|s would rather run from T23 to Freeport 6 in T29 or twice between T23 and Freeport 10 and back than give a fight and potentially a blue message (at least that Tau29 player then just docked and spared me the "Freeport" game. Honestly, thank you for that).

Quite some JM| players like to play the "Freeport game". Running to it, hiding inside the neutral structures, then powering up cruise at a good moment. Comes with dual missile ships that need ammo a lot. The chasing party can CD, but will anger the Freeport likely. The alternative is, letting the enemy get away and he can rejoin with full bats/bots/ammo.

Then the JM| leader complains about my attempt to roleplay with the CoF/Zoners about the abuse of Freeports by his people oorply.

JM| also means Pelican spam. 3 at a time plus a few missile CSVs, a Y-GB and an indie repairship launched against a small snub group. The idea seems to be: get the things that are overpowered, then spam them, pile on anybody who is stupid enough to log (like the few [KNF] that came to challenge you) and then be rude afterwards if anybody dares to complain.

The "Agama Screwdriver" repairship last time (even though indie, but surprisingly well integrated) in combination with your superior numbers and broken ships escalated things to yet another level when I thought you had already reached the top.

Yesterday, the faction leader tells his mates to assist in making more missile CSVs, so they can be shared/given to new members. Laughter and agreement after some discussion how cheap these ships are to spam and how broken and annoying they are. (Teamspeak, 20.3.14)

The attitude is horrible. The complete disregard for fairness or the lack of understanding that Disco is more than stomping on the opposing players as hard as you can with any means you can is bad. But: "More pelicans, more CSVs, woop woop" is the leader's answer in a recent discussion.

JM| leaders and lead members yesterday explained that they never give kudos. It's not entirely true for all (some did and do), but in their view kudos thread can only be used for ironic, passive aggressive criticism. (20.3.14, Teamspeak). There has never been any "Hey, that was fun" or "Sorry, this went bad. Better next time".

In these people's interpretation, a "Gf!" in the end of a fight has a different meaning. It means "get f...ed". It was kind of illuminating and sometimes actually made sense.

To conclude it: I have tried really hard to give JM| roleplay first, then good fights. But after this fast step-by-step escalation that JM| has been doing (Spazzy-type Recyclers, missile CSVs, Y- Kusari oorp group, Pelican hordes, Repairship), it has become increasingly hard to have fun in the pvp aspect of the game.

It's not an alternative for me to counter your choice of ships with a lawful Kusari-oorp-wing, nor will I make missile CSVs, nor spam pvp-transports against snubs. I find it cheap and not fitting for an official faction.

So, now you can start picking things apart, asking for evidence, arguing petty details or just take a dump on the feedback and say it is QQ.

The general statement will remain, whatever you say:

In general, JM| is not a faction I enjoy interacting with any more (exceptions are the few good roleplays and the few fair fights; thank you to the players that made them happen).

I would like to ask you:
  • What do you add to the game except egoistic pleasure for yourself?
  • Why would anybody care to log for you and interact with you when all they get is troll-ships and broken stuff, combined with bad underlying attitude?

I can comment only the missile CSV/Recycler Part. You cannot whine about it, actually missiles are quite balanced after the huge weapons buff and the CM buff. Same story about the Spazzy style recycler- CD bait, if you focus 2-3 decent fighters that know what they do, it dies in seconds.
They are part of the game and there is no point to point fingers about it. I personally would never ever take missile for my ship considering that there are 2.0s and 3.3s that can hurt really bad now.
