dude....I dont know when you left but last mod we HAD a nova that did some 40,000 damamge and bombers could chain fire a dual mount. In fact they were so good a SINGLE bomber could take a cruiser hands down, and that the ONLY thing that was mounted on bombers. We dont want that agian.

the problem is - any escort is useless against a ship with 2 or 4 supernovas. - i can ignore fighters, when i can take down battleships shields in 2 passes and destroy the rest in another 2. fighters have to stick on the bombers six - and its not really too easy to hit a ship then.

i have the feeling as if the old novas were better balanced, even if usable by fighters ( which WAS a problem ). i d like to see bombers being able to fire two torpedos indeed ( it has the advantage to take down the shields with the first hit and some hull with the second ) - so even two "old" novas would be nicer than one new supernova.

besides - a bomber with lvl10 gun slots and enough energy to fire two supernovas will be able to buy a liberty cruiser foreward cannon.... and fire it.

there should be other ways to "improve" bombers other than simply up their DPS. i just don t know how....but then, i don t see a problem in bomber / warship balance. it takes 1 bomber and a fighter with inferno or shield busters to take down a big ship - or two bombers... its not enough, but i guess its OK.

By those stats, Duke, yes, I'm kidding you... who said anything about lowering it that much?

Present Stats:
Hull Damage: 132,000
Shield Damage: 66,000
Power Usage: 38,000

Nerfed Stats:
Hull Damage: 100,000 ---------> Edited from 90k
Shield Damage: 50,000
Power Usage: 30,000

How about that?

As much as I hate being on the receiving end of them, I think the s.nova is just about right.

If you have any fighter cover at all, like you should, bombers are near worthless. Caught alone, and you are dead vs. two bombers in a cruiser. The best team I have seen is a bomber and a fighter with shield busters taking on a cap.

It takes a team to take out a cap in fighters. No lone fighter should have a reasonable chance to kill a cruiser or above vs. a skilled pilot.

It is my opinion that some of the bombers themselves need a few tweaks, not the super.
