I am an expert engineer, and having worked on experimental designs, I'm uniquely qualified to operate and maintain modern and future ships and equipment.

I was born on Manhatten, to a family that had seen better days. Times were tough in the streets of downtown New Central Park, it was a constant fight not to end up in the middle of the gang wars that went on day by day. I signed up for the Manhatten Air Force when I was 16, having already shown exeptional reflexes and an aptitude to piloting in simulations at school.
Upon qualifying as a pilot, I flew with the Air Force for ten years, but realised that apart from shooting at what I was told to shoot at, I wasn't contributing anything to cleaning up the scum of Liberty. I realised I needed to do more with the skills I was born with. So here I am, writing this application to the LSF.
What should an LSF member do (Tasks, RP style, etc)?
Maintain security in restricted areas (Ellesmere, Alaska, Zone 21) through force or otherwise. Maintain homeland security throughout Liberty, through confiscation of alien contraband, protection of Liberty assets and destruction of hostile threats. Patrol zoi. LSF members should be disciplined, emotionally cool and uncompromising, and follow orders from the chain of command to the letter.

Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1:Clearly defining what an "attack" is, means that accidental misfire of weaponry (oops, I clicked the wrong button) can be overlooked, and it's clear when you are being attacked and you can RP an appropriate response. 3.3: By structuring pirate encounters in this way, you prevent malicious players from taking a traders cargo, and then destroying them anyway, which ruins that player's game experience. 3.4:This prevents players from docking, repairing their ship and refilling on ammo, bots and batts, then undocking again and immediately reengaging with a clear advantage over their opponent. 5.2:(5.2 is a little ambigious, as the rules in section 5 aren't numbered, so I'll answer for the whole section). This prevents players from being killed in PvP while they are new to the game, and therefore not in a position to quickly get "back into the game" as it were. New players won't have the resources and assets of long standing players, and having to restart the initial grind all over again because of one death may put them off Discovery for good. 5.6 to 5.8:(Now I'm completely confused, section 5 isn't numbered at all. I'm guessing this form was based on an older version of the rules, so the numbering doesn't apply. I hope my previous answer covers it)

To fully utilize my skills in counter-terrorism/spec-ops missions, as well as providing intelligence that will protect and benefit Liberty forces in the field. The Liberty Navy are incompetent in this regard if I may speak so bluntly. They are shoot first, ask questions later of which I do not subscribe to. Ascertaining the conditions of the mission, and ensuring that the mission is a success with minimal indication of our presence.

Yes - While in the Liberty Navy, I was sent in under a black-ops mission to infiltrate a Rheinland prison to extract a key figure. In order to do so, files were modified in order to verify my identity as a convict in order to gain access. This mission was a success and since then has been de-classified to military personal. You are welcome to review said files.

Adjacent to the skills provided above, I am an asset that can be used at a moments notice, with exceptional leadership skills. I have a 10-1 missions success rate leading teams on dangerous missions. The 1 that was a failure was due to botched intel from an infiltrator within mission commands ranks.

I was raised on a farm on Manhattan, with a father who had served in previous wars under the Liberty Navy. After being honorably discharged due to medical reasons, he took up farming, specifically with pigs. Being raised under his tutelage, I had a deep found respect for the fighting men and women and vowed to serve in any way I could.
When I reached the age of 16, I enrolled in the LPI. After proving myself, I was promoted to serve in the SWAT unit of which I rose to the rank of Sergeant. When internal politics proved to conflict with my duties, I enrolled at West Point Academy, where I graduated with honors and was placed directly into Liberty Naval External Security. After over a decade serving, my loathing of Naval operational procedures garnered my request of discharge from service, and application here amongst the LSF.

Previous Jobs: Policing, mainly in New York. Short stint of Navy training and therefore knowledgeable in following protocol. Started at the bottom of a Fast Food Chain when I was younger, gained a lot of knowledge around procedural action and social interaction.

Why are you interested in joining the LSF?
Due to stunting myself at Secondary Fleet employment, I need a new direction. A new goal, new orders and new people. I realise the risks and the fact that I may not always flying with assistance...that's the biggest difference from the Navy. I like flying alone though, means I get to do my own thing within reason. There's no use in performing a mission to the book, the book doesn't cover every scenario.

Despite my attitude getting a bit aggressive on occasion, it was seen as something that could be worked around and used in certain persuasive missions. So, no.

My lack of empathy for those that may be targeted both in social and mission situations means that you don't have to worry about a lack of confidence. If I have the end goal in mind, I'll do whatever it takes. Call it reckless but I promise you, I know how to follow orders. My skills in fighter craft are also "above average" so to speak. I'm not afraid of the human or even alien obstacle.

Well, believe what you want from reading the previous parts of this but I am in fact a family man. I have two children back home and I do what I can to go see them. However, it was last year that I divorced my ex-wife, Allana, partly due to my job change from Law enforcement to the Navy. It meant I was always far away and she just didn't trust me. It was no easy feat and obviously the whole custody thing wasn't the smoothest ride I've been on. Despite this, it's just motivation to fly better, work harder and best myself at everything I do and for those I work for. Who knows, one day I might see her in space. That'll be a laugh.
Besides the family history, there's not a lot to say. Again, I had a good education, even though it meant I had to change paths a couple of times to get what I wanted out of it. Information Technology was my forte and hell, it helps wherever I go. Was always helping friends out with that kind of stuff. Speaking of which, believe it or not I have friends too. I got a bit of humour in me, as dry as it is quite a lot of the time but hey, it makes people laugh and even makes them feel better about themselves. Heh. Carry out tasks base on their role, keeping in mind the hierarchy that exists and not being an idiot for the sake of causing trouble. Stick to ZoI's, Diplomacy etc. Defeats the point of being in the faction if you're going to act like you're a clueless independent. RP style needs to stick to the characters profile but remain professional due to the factions lore and goals. Obviously, as an official faction member it also means you're responsible for your actions and they could lead to dismissal if abused. Questions may be asked by newer and likely independent members as you are tagged and therefore trusted.

Because the LSF is much like a evergrowing field and provide a lot of opportunities to serve Liberty and defend it from 'shadier' aggressors. This should also give me a chance to serve my Liberty more efficiently.

No, although I was someone who would you call 'A Dog of War' but I never comitted crimes.

I am pretty sure my training over the years may come in handy. I sure am productive enough for to work in an organization like this. I was taught to keep myself calm, because there was no reason to panic in dangerous situations and when all else fails, you've got to accept death.

Well, I was born on Manhattan, to Bretonian parents, my father was a Lieutenant in the Liberty Navy and my mother worked as a escort in Universal Shipping's Security Department. I was raised with simplicity and some degree of luxury, and I led a quiet and comfortable life until I was enrolled on the Manhattan's Military Schools and Academy. I remained there until the age of 12, after which I was enrolled into the West Point Military Academy. That is where I mastered the usage of many long-range weapons and so my training went on an accelerated rate.
By the time I was 18, my impressive school record caught the examiners eye, and I was quickly enrolled into the Special Division. So then my training began, it was harsh, but it's harsh no longer for me. I was transferred to Moorhead station where my training began. It was a six-month training so I could be enrolled into one of the Special Division's unit. I was taught survival training and advanced training in explosives and demolitions and so I was also trained in operating a wide variety of weapons, mostly long-range. So after my training ended, I was placed into Reconnaissace Group 51st, then deployed behind enemy lines.
Our missions involved taking pictures of important military munitions factories and military bases. And if we were lucky, sometimes a sabotage mission would come along, and we would happily sneak in there and blow it up.
After staying with the army for at least till I was 20. I left and became a mercenary being on a contract with the Liberty Police. I just had to take down dangerous criminals which would escape the police and crawl back into their holes. It was usually a success, sometimes the criminal would escape with injuries, only to be killed later in a turf war. After two years, I began to take interest into joining a intelligence faction and so retired from being a Mercenary.
So then I applied for the Liberty Security Force Secondary Fleet, and got accepted. I began working as a Homeland Security agent with not a lot of work other than sitting in my office on Alert, so I finally wanted to apply for the primary fleet, as it has a lot of potential for me and for others. It's been 6 months since I got to this position.

A job of an LSF member would be taking care of things the Navy cannot, or will not do. And as an agent, he is required to stay cool at all times, even when the situation would be tense and desperate. Tasks would be to protect the free flow of goods in and out of Liberty borders and the eradication of dangerous criminals, LSF members also specialize in outer ops in which we are deployed to operation across Sirius.

Then explain why the following rules are important: 3.1: 'Attack' would be considered if the shield is reduced to 50%, saying just 'Engaging' is not sufficient enough for engaging into pvp. Aggressors cannot destroy a ship before giving sufficient time to respond.
3.3: Aggressors cannot issue more demands after the first demands have been met. Or destroy it before issuing one. 'Halt' is not deemed as a demand.
3.4: Fleeing from combat and docking while the opponent is 10 k away, counts as a pvp death. Freighters and transports are allowed to return.
5.2: Such rules are not present, so I shall say the point no.2 instead.

The =LSF= reserves the right to expel a member from the faction if his or her conduct violates server rules, forum rules, faction rules or is being detrimental to the well being of the faction, its members and/or the community. The faction also requires applicants and faction members to respect the opinions of the various players of the community and the time they have invested in their characters, RP and other projects.
