Why is it -0.55ed to Rogues, Mollies, LWB, Hackers. I could explain the LWB rep as some kind of a disgust towards pirates of all like, but the rest of the factions I mentioned are pirates, why push aide someone of their kin. Also if I want to RP a slaver and want to have a pirate ID to feel things going harder as they are supposed to be. Where would I buy slaves, sell cardamine, artifacts? I am not keen on the idea of being limited to Junker bases only in lolberty.

Pirates IDs are not kin. They are independent pirates working for their own benefit instead of a benefit of said group.

They are a waste of space and competition.

It's easier to sumbit a rephack as official faction instead of having to FR5 every single one of them.

I've submitted the rephack request for LR- myself about some time ago. LWB has it since a few years already. I think Mollies and Hackers more recently, not sure.

If you like to aid these groups, use a Freelancer ID. Or in your "slaver case", just mount a Pirate ID for having all red, switch back to Freelancer ID and use bribes for the relevant groups.

Spazzy's glorious commentary aside;

Quote:Why is it -0.55ed to Rogues, Mollies, LWB, Hackers.

Those factions have had problems in the past with Inde Pirate ID's,

Rogues/Mollys have been pirated by Inde Pirates and then watched those same pirates dock on their bases.

Hackers I assume is the same

LWB I wasn't around for that rep hack so I couldn't say.

Would advise against it as if I remember correctly the Pirate ID is also rep hacked to OC. Might be wrong though. Either way Outcasts/Corsairs (like other pirate factions) Won't take to kindly to you unless you prove your self otherwise inrp.

(ID) (Base name) (Afilliation) (Price)

Slaves:

Unlawful Freelancer: Buffalo Base (Rogues) (1019)

Cardamine:
All IDs: Planet Malta (Outcasts) (549)

Artifacts:
All IDs: Planet Crete (Corsairs) (538)

I also questioned why the rep is so harsh with certain unlawfuls who have all the same inrp goals and MO's. Sure the rogues or hackers (ex) might not trust every pirate they come across, but allowing factions to basically FR5 a whole ID type, in this case, is a little OP. It doesn't allow for very much development of an 'independent' pirate's character based on actions in game, because mounting a Pirate ID is not exactly a declaration of hostilities towards those factions. In this case, actions in game should determine the outcome of that.

However, I'll admit I don't know totally if its possible to reverse an individual's stance. If I were, as a pirate, able to convince them i'm ok, could they reverse FR5 me at request? Give me a green light so to speak?

a Faction can still request fr5 to green for the character if inrp he proves to be useful

And how about gathering slaves? Spaceship crew, pilots and sort. Slavers are like pirates in all movies and games.

Anything a Pirate ID player can buy, can be bought by a Freelancer ID player, too.

"Smugglers are like pirates in all movies and games." And yet, no smuggler uses the Pirate, but Freelancer ID.

I am aiming to a Slaver not a smuggler. In the past slavers were pirates that take over ships, treasures and sell the crew as slaves. Take the Vikings for an example. Werent they pirates AND slavers?
