Wicked Witch of the Engine Room

Wealth is a fluid concept; Where most people consider wealth in form of liquid assets, and while some instead lean toward intellect when defining such a concept, in the practical sense wealth is defined as connections and influence by some people, and if the unreliable, inaccurate and often distorted documentation of the past people tend to call "history" is of any indication, most notable and most successful of individuals have been those with the most influence, not those with the highest intellect or the fattest pockets, and with influence having one of the vaguest descriptions among the various qualities one can find in a social structure, there are very few with the talent of efficiently and effectively gaining influence where needed, and putting it to use when needed.

In the overcrowded universe of the modern age human, with too many people in too many places doing too many things, and each and every single one of them too busy with their own thing to notice anything or anyone else, connections prove to be harder to make, but once made, more notable and more beneficial than they could've ever been in the old days, and while some connections are a result of carefully planned and flawlessly executed chain of actions, others are mere coincidences, or as some would put it - Just a piece of luck. Now, if a couple of like-minded individuals happen to have the luck of making a connection when neither needs anything from the other, it offers both of them a healthy opportunity to make use of eachother's talents and resources for their own personal agenda at a later point.

When the opportunity presented itself, Jessica Snow was the first to come to mind. Even though easily mistakable for a socially-impaired persona at first glance, those that had given her life-style a more careful look were all of the opinion that she was a resourceful individual, and aerelm was no exception. One thing he knew for sure was that putting her in the right environment and offering her the right assets could be considered a worthwhile investment of one's wealth, and so he knew when it was time to kill some time around a design table, it was time to get back in touch with the notorious Ms. Snow.

Devils sure liked coming back from the past. It seems that even Jessica couldn't escape old acquaintances from crawling back up from the distasteful forth dimension. Although quite frankly, life was a drag. Perhaps there was some excitement to be found. Who knows.

For this very purpose, Jessica Snow was walking through Seguro Refugio idly, searching for something although she didn't know what in the slightest. It was a rock, after all. A base, inside of a rock. The mere concept amused her slightly. Despite it being thrown together hastily, it did make a good structure however. A pain in the butt to dock in, but hey. Beggars can't be choosers. Fitting for the Outcasts, fancy structures didn't seem to be something they were too keen on. Unless we're talking about the Grass Farms back on Malta, they almost compete against each other as sport for who can grow the most Cardamine.

The woman doubles back as she notices she passed the first lounge from the docking ports, quickly entering the new room. Better than the hallways. Looking around for a few seconds, she immediately approaches a man who seemed to be reading a newspaper of sorts. Putting her elbow on his shoulder to support herself.

"Hey, hey, hey, how are you doing. A few quick questions. Anything exciting going on around here? Ah, also, i'm looking a scary looking man who.." Taking a pause to study the mans face. "Is obviously not you. Seen anyone around that fits that description?"

The man looks at her with a befuddled expression, reaching over he forcibly pushes her head away causing her to lose her contact. "I suggest you keep your hands to yourself, you're on a path to a road of hell if you think you can do that to people." Looking down at the paper, ignoring the strange person afterwards. He'd have to teach her a lesson if she tried that again.

Jessica plops herself down on a couch, pouting slightly. "No sense of adventure." merely resting. After all, it was a big base. Looking for the man she was searching for would take too much effort. He'll find her. Hopefully.

"Still flying that heap of junk, I see. Didn't expect to see that thing still in one piece... and figured you wouldn't be far."

approaching the woman from the same direction she had came in, aerelm nodded at the man with the newspaper and it was clear the two knew eachother, then headed toward the elevator without stopping by the couch,

"This place has a proper bar, y'know."

Rotating her head backwards at a strange angle, recognizing the voice. "Yeah, yeah. You would not beelieeveee how much of a drag looking for the bar would be though. I saw this area, thought why the heck not."

Jumping to her feet, beginning to follow the man. "Prompt as always I see, you haven't changed. Then again, I would be a bit worried if you had. After all, that frown of yours has become almost what I expect to see when you're around. Eh, i'll see it eventually."

Leaning against the interior of the elevator, eying the man carefully. "So, what brings you calling friends again, eh? Never thought you would be someone to bring back people unless you really needed something."

"Oh trust me Snow, I'm most certainly not..."

Pressing the button for the top floor and waiting for the doors to close, aerelm took his notepad out of his backpack, and after tapping on the screen a few times turned it toward the woman. The content of the screen appeared to be the overview sheet of an actual Avenger fighter blueprint.

"Interested?"

Her interest peaked, she takes the pad from him for a few seconds, eying the contents carefully.

"Oh, now that's beautiful. A silly design, however I think that about most designs that I take a look at. Bad habit per usual, although things of my design people don't like. After all, they want flashing lights with powerful guns. I merely don't offer that a lot of the time. Although I do admit, the routing in this specific hull is indeed quite interesting."

Passing the pad back to him. "Well then, you indeed have my interest. Tell me more. What do you have bubbling in that gruff looking skull of yours, hmm?" Reaching over, tapping his head a few times with a silly smirk.

Pulling his head back before a chuckle, aerelm was about to start his next sentence when the elevator doors opened, so instead he put the pad back in his bag and stepped out of the elevator without a word, taking a turn left and then looking over his shoulder to make sure the woman was following,

"You'll find the bar comparably more... uhh, "luxurious" than the rest of this place, but it's still a bar nonetheless, so we can talk but we'll have to keep it down."

Pulling a keycard out of his pocket and using it to open the door at the end of the hallway, the two entered what looked more like a restaurant than an actual bar, but apparently served nothing but the same bottle of beer the very few people around the few occupied tables were drinking.

"I would've invited you to my own place, but it's undergoing what they call renovation but I prefer to call trying to make my ears bleed, so... This place has to do instead."

She was actually slightly surprised by the atmosphere of this area, it wasn't what she expected in this corner of space. It was a little homey surprisingly. Perhaps she'd have to see about loitering around these spaces more often.

"All I've had for a long while was the Rogue base Padua, back in Liberty. This is quite a bit better than what they had here, i'm not complaining."

Lowering her tone slightly, eying the other occupants for a second before turning her attention back to the man who called her here. "This place is fine. Well then, what can I do for you." Taking a seat at one of the tables, leaning forward in the chair, resting an elbow on the table which she props her head up with.

"Sounds like you want some work done, from what i've seen so far. I'm intrigued, please go on."

"We both know how much you enjoy tinkering with stuff, so let's just say I've found a few toys for you..."

Looking up and gesturing at the bartender, then waiting for him without taking his eyes off him, the bartender pulled a bottle out from under the bar different than the ones everyone else were holding and came to the table with the bottle and two whiskey glasses, then simply nodding at aerelm went back to the bar without a word.

"Stuff they've got here ain't bad, but not really my type of drink either..." aerelm said in a casual tone while filling both glasses, "So... I keep my own stuff here just in case I decide to drop by. Speaking of toys..."

Putting the bottle down and pulling the notepad out of his bag again, he set it down in the center of the table after tapping on the screen a few times, and started scrolling through a different series of blueprints - Starting with the Roc, then the new Outcast fighter and lastly the Corsair Gladiator.

Eying the digital screen and the bits of data which were being displayed right along with it. Tapping idly a few times with her left hand as she idly watches the man in front of her.

"That I do.. After I finished work on the capital class recently, I've been left quite bored. These schematics aren't the easiest to get in the detail which I see you have them. What are you looking at for? I'm sure you haven't called me here merely to show off this collection of data you have."

She was truly intrigued at this point.

"The lists of schematics which you've shown me so far do not correlate in any way with each other. I have to dismiss the thought that you'd like a singular vessel to be made, unless you're merely showing off. I'd think you would know perfectly well I do not do very many upgrades if it encompasses weapon systems, and quite frankly the design for the other systems of the lists yet again don't match in the slightest besides perhaps base theories and components for the shield projectors."

"Heck, even the engines differ way too much. Sure it's nothing like the graviton manipulation on the special one out there, however plasma compression and exertion methods are quite different. Some prefer super-heating, the others prefer changing the conditions inside the engine itself so the plasma doesn't take as much energy to turn it into the exhaust all engines use."

"In light of this, what are you getting at?"
Sitting back, drawing one of her legs to her chest despite sitting in a chair.
