Probably not for guard systems, which afaik don't even exist inRP ... Also, I dunno how could one justify turning 2 systems into 1 ... but if you have ideas, it might be possible.

While the VWA is pretty much fine with Luneburg being removed (as long as bielefield gets placed somewhere else as it is a selling point) there is the issue of jumpholes. There's a jumphole to Bremen and that also goes for the Braunschweig system which is also on the list of getting removed. That means in Bremen half of the jumpholes gets removed leaving only the ones to Hamburg and New Hampshire. Since Bundies have a base in there and is an important system for Liberty-Bundschuh relations perhaps a jumphole in Frankfurt or Munich would be nice and allow bundies and rheinland lawfuls to enter from different locations.

I was asking because I had a skype chat with a few of the old CR farts that still play this mod and we had some disagreements about Tau-44 mostly.

First of all I believe Tau-44 was de-guarded a long time ago, permitting Gallic invasion and whatever. It also had an extensive lore since it was the home of CR for almost their entire time in Sirius. Now, CR's motivation in fighting Gallia is taking back their home system. That's one of the main reasons in my book.

Now what made me laugh a bit was what J.N.C. requested. A GRN base to be given back to CR and moved to Coronado. How the hell would you do that inRP? Bring Celestras, tow it when the Gauls are looking the other way?

Anyway, I was thinking of a possible solution to all, this cutting of systems. Make all this a gigantic cosmic cataclysmic event that's collapsing the jump holes and every faction looses all their immobile assets. Then build new bases in nearby systems, where you wanted to move the old ones because moving bases out of systems is totally ooRP, even if the said system is a guard one and it doesn't really exist. That system where the base moves does exist and, oh well, a bases pops up there over night.

The thing that bothers me is , will the jumphole network be reworked according to the new system layouts ? or they will just stay as ... well. somewhat like a maze and pretty hard to use sometimes ...

( atm, on certain places, I rather use the lanes with my pirate, cause it takes ages to get from one hole to the other...

If possible, the RM Assets in Braunschweig ( Moselle and Mecklenburg ) would be great if a smaller cordoned off area could be created (Much like the area around Schatten) in New Berlin. Somewhere off the lanes a bit where there is space, to give us a place to continue training in peace like we had in Braunschweig. an entrance thats guarded by the Moselle and Mecklenburg inside the minefield surrounding it. This is my idea of what could happen with Braunschweigs assets. If this is possible you can do as you wish with the system Tongue

GRN disassembles one of the conquered bases for possible foreign technology and repair materials while CR constructs an entirely different station in Coronado for whatever purpose they could think of. Took me five minutes and a little bit of creativity to forge an explaination for something you couldn't explain yourself.

I know there are possibilities for RP explanations but the way he worded the phrase didn't let room for anything and it looked like it's a RP proposal. Also... are you playing smartass with me? You seem to pop up wherever I post.

Anyway, devs, I hope you will keep the lore in mind when you make the changes and provide pertinent RP explanation for the disappearance of the systems and the relocation of bases.

No need to feel so special, I do not pick on you, only having a tendency to play the smartass in general when I find people having problems seemingly trivial to me. I found nothing in JNC's post implying his proposals were intended to be literal inRP, his wording did not restrict me not to think he meant what he wrote from a merely technical viewpoint. And while I agree that inRP explainations are required for all the modifications, I'd rather care about those once said modifications are decided already, and I think this thread should be kept for the former.

good guy thyr'zul making people feel special. Anyways, yeah. Don't take things too literally. I agree to Tau-44 remaining; it seems like it's even more of a core RP thing for CR than Alabama is for XA. Some things just shouldn't be wiped out. I still hold fast to my lock down Gallia belief. Empty space pretty much the same as guard systems. Occasional visitor to pick things up amidst the chirping crickets.
