Due to having a seemingly revitalised list of members and leadership changes, and RPs etc. now no longer stagnant... I'm a new player and it sucks that my first post in relation to RP turns out to be a a complaint out of RP....
With my main ship I have been trading, mining, and smuggling to get enough funds to support making new RP characters.
I don't mind getting robbed by pirates, chased, or getting caught by authorities in RP, so long as there is semi decent role play that happens before my demise or loss of funds/cargo.
One of your members, XA-Nigel:Gibson, I suspect got the Xeno ship just so he could have an excuse to shoot anything moving.
In the links are screen shots of him basically saying " You are gonna die in 3 2 1"... I wish I had time stamps on the encounter, but I am new so I didn't have them on thus you can't see how the interaction was about 20 seconds total.
Not cool.
I thought roleplaying was what this mod/game/community is about.
If that is all the server requires of it's players to RP, so be it.
But I would have expected better from a faction member.

Looking at these screens, and speaking as the faction leader I can see he identifies you as a Junker with foreign cargo. He gave you a few lines of RP, more than is neccessary for starting an engagement. You should know that Xenos and Junkers are bitter enemies, particularly so recently due to the new scrap bonuses. While a little rushed, it was the inevitable outcome of the situation. It would appear that you didn't realise he was an enemy.

Just because a ship being blown up is inevitable, doesn't mean we should skip the fun part which is RP.
Unless people play Xeno because they know that 3 2 1 pew pew is enough RP to make their faction leader happy!
I'll just avoid your faction in the future.

Go back and look at the screens that you linked. We are talking about the XA guy right? He said more than you make out. He even gave a little speech. Plenty more than enough to signal a Pvp engagement. It appears that you have snipped this down to a 321die thing when it was just a Xeno reacting - inRP - how he would have reacted to any Junker carting Artifacts in Liberty according to those screens you linked. We aren't responsible for the guy who actually got the kill message in your screen.

The faction member will be spoken to through private channels regarding this and the matter is being discussed internally.

Hi, sorry for barging in. I was the guy that got the blue message, Brill.

The Xeno that shot at you is a terrorist with a strong dislike towards Junkers. My character is a quasi-lawful mercenary registered on a bounty board, who gets paid for killing junkers by your Kusarian arch-enemy, the Hogosha.

So you see, there was no way we weren't going to attack you. Our only objective was to destroy your ship, so I can get paid and the terrorist could create some terror, that was the very reason we were in Texas. None of us were pirates. Moreover, other Junkers were venturing out of Puerto Rico as we were talking, and the organized Junkers are really difficult to get at - you have to hit them hard and fast, so we didn't want to get too delayed and miss our window of opportunity.

We both also gave you ample time to reply, and talked with you for a little while before blowing you up. That was more of a "last words" sort of thing than it was a chance for you to talk your way out of us attacking. The "3, 2, 1" was a countdown for your captain character to get to his escape pod as a clear indication that you were going to get shot at, rather than 3 seconds for you to reply - you had plenty of time to reply before that, and you did.

Had we been on pirate characters, you'd been able to pay and negotiate with us - it just happens that you came across two characters with a particular lust for Junker blood, and our sole criterion for success was the destruction of your ship.

I'm sorry, I played this heavily back in 08 and 09.
I guess we did things differently.
Even with kill orders, we had more fun with RP.

Just wanted to say :

I like the recent activity from XA, like the RP you are putting into Oyster Creek and its *Zoner* facade, and like the path it seems to be leading atm.

I had some verry sorry meetings with the Xeno ID, but none with XA-.
All interaction there has been ok to splendid so far. Even if I always pray NOT to meet you.

And I like it how Xeno supporters are hiding at the Haven while the LN is sulking around their home base ;-)
Very nice idea, just dont let any of my characters notice. Fynn would get a fit and Olsen would pull the shotgun from under the bar.
