' Wrote:Xoria, that sanction you linked that Spear and I got, was not because I blew that trader up in a cap ship, but because we sort of did it out of annoyance because he didn't obey our orders, we did not have a legitimate reason that a lawful should have for blowing him up, therefore it has nothing to do with blowing up smugglers/traders in a lawful cap ship.
Go back and read Kingvaillant's original post. It applies directly to that.
Check out my Trade Development Blog

The only reason I could see where one would need to blow up a trader in a capital vessel, is If you are flying a cap without any fighter or bomber support.
that shouldnt be happening anyway, no?
I never use the LNS-Golden.Gate to attack traders or do police work, she is entirely dedicated to maintaining the manhattan defense perimiter against unlawful capital vessels.
it is true. but in my opinion, large ships in that era, makes a scan over all vessels coming within range. Should it be for the mere fact a large war vessel has enough crew personnel to make this, and the fact scanning equipment are very easy to use in that era.
But I believe, on a rp reason, these ships need to perform such scan. Can you imagine what a large transport hijacked by terrorist and containing dangerous explosive material, ramming at a large ship would do? ka-boom. Just like Walker did with his cruiser on that dreadnaught, in SP mission in Alaska.
edit: about escort fighter, not everyone are happy to serve as escort to indies, unfortunately, and I can understand them. Everyone has better things to do on their side. That is why I mostly try to RP as if I had fighter escort, though it doesnt really work in game...

But a question come to my mind.
Alaska is an high security zone, in the description it says that trespasser are eliminated. Most faction ban Trespassers from going in their systems(guard) too.
So my question is, Since the trader/smuggler Is Not suppose to be here at all, are we allowed to kill him with any of our ships?
Alaska is not high secruity space..you can see BHG in it.it just heavily guarded....Z21 is high secruity space..
oh? my bad..didnt check that...but why the BHG can fly their Destroyer in there? and you can blow them up if you dont want them to stay there and they dont listen to you..
