1. its a new faction, under control by one of the biggest RP obsessed of disco (no offence preatyre, couldnt think of anything more.. subtle), and you cannot disagree he hasnt done alot of excellent RP on the forums.
2. look at the faction proposal. he spent a long time, evidentally, planning it out, making sure its got no kinks or any sort of stupid errors. hes made the request after ALOT of planning.
3. agreed, its a new faction, but from what i see, you lot seem to be... for lack of a better word 'scared' of a new faction. so what if the rep is to be changed by admins? doesnt that happen for the Angels, and the Phantoms, and the Keepers at the moment? you cannot deny that there have been alot of RP oppurtunities, from both the Keepers, AND the Phantoms.
4. the members are being heavily scrutinised, before being allowed to join. the leader (preatyre) are taking every precaution to prevent randomers to join. the Faction proposal already states the requirements, and tbh, they are pretty high. if people can fulfil all of them, obviously they wanna join, and they will give their full attention to it.
5. a Wilde faction. think about it. no nomads, but nomad infected HUMANS. means, theres definately MUCH more interaction, on both the forums, and in game. i dont see why this faction should be given the no. as to your views of being elitist, i disagree. this faction, along with the keepers give a chance to people to prove themselves that they can carry out roleplay.
so, imo, think this over. i really think these guys have got a good chance at getting a very good faction up and running. i say let it be passed.
Although this been said already, I think this has far more potential then a nomad faction.
Now I have a thought on this faction:
Each Individual member should be forum consensus approved, with the admins having a right to refuse any member, or remove any member at any time. ( i dont mean a poll, i mean a damn good role play story)
this will mean that yes, we will know who is in the wilde(but not nesissarily who is who), the secrecy has alienated the keepers completely from the community as a faction.
There should be an admin in the faction at all times, who can deal with the reputations etc.
I am very interested in tying my own role play into this faction, perhaps joining at some stage if approved.
however, i think the member list as is should be zeroed, until all members are approved... (shouldnt take long)
now this may seem elitist, (method of choosing members), but it shouldnt be every tom dick and harry in this faction... *cough* keepers *cough* but it will simply be abused otherwise.
gah... my 10 cents there, smallest change we got in this country.
I have confidence in Patrick. My role is strictly consultative and nothing more, I merely offer help with roleplay stories, giving advices, suggestions, pointing out contradictions, contributing illustrations and such. A consultative editor.
Re-reading the original proposal, one thing I missed is their agenda. What do they want? Are they only the human-like counterparts to the squishy Nomads or are they something extra, less, more to the right?
They want to survive, primarily, and they want to get rid of all humans. The nomads would probably terminate all of the Wild after the rest of the humans are gone, but the Wild don't know that.

I think they are also interested in eradicating humanity through less obvious means. As hybrids they can work on the inside...pitting humans against each other.

Errr... I meant that this is stuff that should be pointed out in the faction proposal and it's missing.
Like:
We're this: name
This is our story: background story
We operate like this: general guidelines to roleplay
We use that stuff: ship and equipment list
People should expect we to behave like this: diplomacy
We do what we do to this end: ultimate goal and improvisation standpoint
That last part is what I was missing.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, this don't have to be a spoil to their more secret stuff, just something simple so we can keep up and not get confused in game.
