Personally, this Faction is NOT like the keeper's at all. We are not here for pvp (Both me and Praetyre are pretty lousy >.<). The whole idea of the faction is to build upon the conflicts set up in Rheinland based on the RM's current RP. We are here to act out those conflicts, many of which i believe will not result in PvP. The RP potential is HUGE in this group. Remember, we are not here for the PVP, which what the people who want it rejected, seem to think.
I don't like to be mis-quoted ... What I said was, it had never been discussed by anyone in the past, sorry if
that was unclear. Today it was, after no one was aware of what was actually going on.
Korrd's post was made afterwards.
Hoodlum
And Unselie, not every faction request requires full admin participation to actually make it viable. Infact, very
few do.
Some say he is a proud member of: "The most paranoid group of people in the Community."

Hoodlum
Thought that was how faction requests worked....
Moreover, I remember the keepers were told to do wilde, because it made more RP sense, and had many more possibilities. Beating a dead horse and all, of course, but this has potential. More than Keepers. This is a keystone that locks in the Hessian Tears, supports the RM, yes, supports. RM getting whored? You want to slow that down? Add in another hostile force in wraths right next door. There's SCRA rp possibilites, Bret/Rheinland Diplomacy to consider, A new threat that could thin out the diamond run, and all nicely wrapped in a package that you will never see raiding NY. Its been endorsed by so many corners of the community that I'd call it circular.
Also, Adamantine Fist, not everyone has screens that big.
Scale it down, please.

This is true. Unfortunately, I was not aware that in such cases, the proposal had to be brought before the admins before it was requested. Now, thats a loophole, and I'm loopholing the loophole, because, of course, there are only 3 npc groups that need admin intervention. Two were already taken, and no one thought to punch in any controls on proposals for the third. I'm sorry you feel slighted, but the fact that no one talked to you about it seems a rather slight oversight, from my side of things. Not worthy of shutting it down.

Actually, there's four... Nomads, Phantoms, Wilde and Neutral. Three were already taken.
Quote:And on a side note... the Nomad Lasers that they could be using.. are not uber in any sense. The 4.00 guns are same as Krakens (but without shield-specific damage), 3.03 guns are worse than Codes, and 2.00 guns do have 700 speed but in damage vs energy are below most Codes. And all of these are lvl 10.
Ummm.. They are.. That 'nomad' thingy is exactly what makes them different from Krakens..
They do much more shield damage then any other weapon, just like regular Nomad blasters and cannons.
And they are better then Krakens (Laser 1), which can't be said for any codes.
Codes are strong in their own way, but they are still 600 speed. Which makes then harder to use.
And we both now that it's piece of cake to use 700 weapons, especially with 4.0 refire.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying those weapons are uber. I'm just saying they are the best in their class.
So I'm glad Praetyre limited it to only 50%. Wrath with 4-5 of those weapons would be very deadly.
Agreed with blunt and unselie.

It is every Corsair's responsibility to die a beautiful death in defense of Crete, regardless of how OORP or how capwhoring the opposition is. Launch your fighter, joust the battlecruisers and die a beautiful death. Then, drink it down in the bar.
From what I can tell the denial still stands on a couple of things:
1. PvP would run unchecked overriding RP----I think enough members have expressed that RP can work very well under the strict care of Praetyre and with all the opportunity for RP available.
2. Wild should not be a joinable player faction because it requires Admins to adjust reps.----You still have not addressed this issue...Phantoms have their reps adjusted and yet have no presence in the original game unlike the Wild...Angels do serve a purpose but they fall under that logic as well. If this is one of your concrete reasons for denial then I suggest it be retroactive in dismissing Keepers, Phantoms and maybe Angels.
EDIT: and just so there is no confusion as to where these points came from:
' Wrote:The Wild and the Nomads must be non-joinable factions, given that their only RP is to kill everything on their path (aka all-PvP NPC), and it's not possible to align to them without Admin assistance, which means that the faction was not meant to be player-joinable.
