Well in my opinion, this would be a necessary faction...
When I say necessary, I mean something that will take us to another level...
If you consider the fact that the original freelancer single player universe immersed you in a story that contained Nomads and the ever present threat of the infestation of key human leaders, methinks this faction would certainly add value to an already amazing RP experience!
Edit:
As far as the faction becoming a Cap-Whoring entity, I doubt that such painstaking care would be taken at it's conception if that were the case, but I do also think that the invite only policy is of paramount importance.
This would certainly not be a faction for those who have not had their fill of this ship and that ship and this wep and that wep... one wrong member and we have niobium and engine parts all over S13 and the NB Jumphole!
The last people you want to piss off are traders.. thats like hitting the auto CapWhore button. The moment you turn them into victims of PvP abuse they feel obliged to spend their hard earned cash on Battleships and the like to get some kind of justice... alternatively they end up hiring capWhores to do the job for them...
Well thought out PvP parameters are extremely important, I am starting to avoid Kusari these days because in my time zone you can see up to five pirate, terrorist, mugger and rapist tags on at the same time... What point is there in being a pirate if there is no-one to pirate?
I love the idea of the das wilde faction, but I really think the recruitment criteria should border on unreasonable for this to be the asset it could be!
First of all, excellent faction draft, Patrick. It's not like we would expect less from such a great RPer like you.
Secondly, the faction draft was posted to stay a while and get digested by the community and the admins. Not everything in this world is speedmodding;)
Therefore I'd say Patrick and maybe one or two by the admins chosen, in the roster listed people or an admin himself/herself would do a test run for say... 2 weeks to 2 months? I could actually see more actions from Die Wilden than blowing everything up, since they still maintain all abilities of a normal human with the exception of free speech and free thinking. Perhaps Die Wilden would spread propaganda about enlightment and a better life, but just seek new workers for the Nomad Gate.
I'd also like to repeat some of the content the other community members posted. The admins are free to discuss this as long as they desire, there is no need to decide this as fast as the proposal "has been posted". It's one of the main purposes of the Faction Creation Request forums. All factions are getting discussed nicely by everybody and get either the "Yay" or "Nay" stamp by the admins.
All I wish is to see this excellent opportunity of enjoying this RP potential not to be missed. That's all, thank you.
Yes, I remember I wanted to ask something.. It's a bit off-topic..
How come you decided after 1 day about this faction, but can't decide about BU for almost a month..?
I'm just putting this here to compare, because your decision also came a bit fast, don't you think?
And it seems that at least one admin was informed about this. So your argument kinda isn't valid anymore.
Also, I'm not here to flame you guys, just stating my opinion on the subject.
This is the right place, i guess.

The Wild has been spoken about long and hard in skype with Hoodlum and i, and maybe the Other Admins.
When we had Proposals for Wild factions, Most if all responded "No" Patrick/Praetyre was making one that was viable.
Now i accept Korrd may not know about this due to being inactive for months and i have spoke to Patrick about Treewym being involved in this faction.
What i dont understand is that this has been forgotten about by The Admins and others.
This Faction proposal is the best one ever posted on the forums by anyone!!
On another Note to the Admins, Read all the past Faction proposals and find your comments, because trust me i have chat logs and will use them if needed to prove the Admins knew of this faction Proposal.
and Again, we need Korrd in the absence of Igiss to make a decision!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the whole point of the faction creation REQUEST is to put an idea out there. From the very beginning of this thread, everyone assumed it was a go. Nope. This faction, just like any other, gets run through the ringer by members and admins alike. There were a couple of posts in the beginning pages alluding that the faction was already approved. That wasnt the case at all, whatsoever.
TonyI remember all the admins discussing a single character, hell at first it was supposed to be a sub-faction of the Keepers. We were going to let Patrick make a single Wilde character, give him the responsibility, allow him to build his RP and work out any bugs. Not this. It came as a surprise. Its being discussed and its been discussed with Patrick.
