I'm a student, and I technically have a job... I guess.

I am Currently an ambulance officer studying nursing - I only need first year before I go into the bachelor of medicine/bachelor of surgery co-joint degree to become a surgeon - There goes 8 years of my life. I'm currently class rep, Nursing Organisation Student delegate and when I go back after term break I'll also be hired by the school tutoring sciences.

However (DON'T LAUGH) I've recently resigned contract with an agency over here which involves acting, modeling and beauty pageants :|

Your paycheck has to come from somewhere. You're welcome.

You, Sir, have nothing to do with my paycheck. In fact, it's lawyers who have been the source of much of the trouble and headache in my life.

LAWYERS wrote the book on Federal Aviation Regulation. It's amazing how little they truly know about aviation. They have no business writing it.

LAWYERS were the reason my son spent a year in the court system for defending himself. I guess people need SOME kind of defense when someone isn't smart enough to NOT pick on something that stands 6'7" tall and comes in at about 280 lbs. They deserve the beating they get. Fortunately, the prosecutor was an idiot and the judge saw how much his mother and I work to work with him as he is special needs.

I really have no love of the legal profession.

Thank you for the clarification that the reserves are a privately funded organization instead of one funded through taxpayer dollars. I also see that "lawyer" in your lingo is the same as "politician," although in the latter case, you're more than welcome to run for office and change things how you see fit. And as for your son, I am deeply sorry that the government's duty to prosecute and the accused's right to defense in a criminal case protected by our Constituion is so offensive to you and your family. Seems your beef is with your employer.

If you'd like to apply a blanket stereotype to an entire profession, it is your right to do so. Although I would expect more from an adult when it comes to taking your frustrations out on a flood post asking about "what people do for a living" on a forum for a decades old space simulator.

Highschool! Excellent profession.

Technical Director and Lighting designer for all of the performances and events we put on however, which sucks up time. Gives a paycheck here and there though if third parties are involved, so it keeps me happy.

Here's the funny thing:

On the pecking order, Bussers actually rank above servers

All are awesome Big Grin
even the "indent man" :o http://www.thefreedictionary.com/indent i had to look for the meaning Tongue

so i see that we have more than one person who is less than 80 years old :O surprising Smile
acting, making indents...etc these are appreciated skills, nothing to laugh at Wink
you people got great experiences and skills. and so you can do businesses/projects with each other Big Grin even if small personal businesses/projects. the disco devs are an example Tongue

regarding:
Doc Holliday & Slappy. you can do a business contract, if slappy is good enough Tongue, and law dude, don't take it too personal. law ppls lack emotional understanding(made up by me just now, could be true). you should let doc express himself without making him feel bad for expressing(believe me, i know this), hehe don't law on him here also Big Grin
HOWEVER. i believe that the governments "law" system is being exploited aggressively and is now going astray of it's correct direction. for example: punishing a thief was a law to stop thieves. the wrong way now is through "lawyers" u could make thieves run with their crime and might proof the victim as the guilty one. it is no more for "justice" it is for, hey i am the following this written crap on your crap book of laws Tongue laws should be like disco economy Big Grin they should be dynamic... they should be like disco's mod Big Grin they should get updates to serve it's Main purpose, which i think it does not anymore, i claim that without 0.000%
evidence. slapps law dude, am i correct? :o howevr, ppl can consult u for free here Wink
oh i feel so wise now Big Grin
