Game crashes when logging a specific ship

I have a very "funny" situation on my hands here. If I am trying to log a specific ship, my game crashes on desktop after the black screen (LOADING) stays on for a couple of seconds. Other ships on that account work normally.

What have I tried so far:

- I've restarted my computer
- I've reinstalled the game
- I've tried logging in from another computer (fresh install and all)

All these have gotten me to the same result.

I've done a bit of data mining, this is the error message:

I've also checked Freelancer's log (FlSpew) for any clues. When logging any other ships, it says:

Now, if I read this right - there's something wrong with rendering something while loading (video card driver's fine).

Considering the exception code (Exception Code: c0000005), I assume that Freelancer is trying to access some piece of information that doesn't exists.

Thanks to Moveit56, I've ruled out the possibility of this being a server issue (moved the character around, he renamed it), because the issue still exists.

I have a theory on how to fix this thing, but I'm asking you guys, has anyone ever encountered a situation such as this?

Ask an admin for a beam to another station - It normaly fixes it.

Did it along with Moveit56, both moving around and renaming it, and unfortunately it didn't work...

Try getting an Admin to re-buy your ship (the hull) and leave everything but essential equipment unmounted.

There was a sig here, once.

Could it be the ship has the renamed file and game cannot properly load it? There could be one even small line different between Server and the Client, so... I don't know. If you say it is one specific ship, this may be an issue. Like the model is different thing that your client does not have.

Have you tried erasing then installing the mod again?

Edit: Oh nevermind. You did that already.

I thought of that, first I'd like to try to see if I can log it with all it's equipment unmounted, perhaps if it gets moved from any base into space as well. This is what I'd like to try first, before the whole re-buy thing.

The ship in question is a Liberty Dreadnought with a CAU8, Battleship Scanner, Adv. Cloaking Device MK2, 2 Docking Modules and 980 million credits on it... I assume remaking it with Admin help may take some time (I assume it's going to involve a lot of buttons pushing?).

Cap8 BS with 980 mil... no wonder you're having problems. Your character is probably corrupt due to being over the maximum credit limit. The combined value of a character should not exceed ~2 billion credits.

If this CTD issue only occurs with this character, ask an Admin to move the cash to another ship.
