I'm afraid that expecting people to pay substantial repair bills is also rather foolish. I know I sure as hell am not going to dock a ship and lose five million patching it up when I can instead plant it in a planet's atmosphere and lose nothing.

Roleplay wise: is it more 'acceptable' in your mind to - if you want to avoid the costs of docking and repairing your ship - let your ship get blown up by your adversary (and likely have them steal a portion of your cargo / maybe even take the husk of your ship) than it is to dive into the atmosphere? Considering both courses of action would require the use of escape pods, I don't really see why one is 'good roleplay' while the other is 'bad roleplay'. One could argue that setting your ship up to burn up in some planet's atmosphere would be a 'planned' way of destroying the ship, and thus it would be easier to plan your getaway as well.

Also yes hello I'm posting here because I greatly enjoy practicing the art of Forum Warfare.

Gentlemen, this is not a place for open discussion between everyone and their mother, please do not do treat it as such. I will also ask people not in BAF| (and BAF| without my permission) to not speak on our behalf.

That said, let me get to the problem at hand.

Snak3, if you can send me further details (and screenshots/chat logs) of your encounter, I can look into this further. Even PMing me the name gives me somewhere to start. Without this , I don't know who I'm talking to, nor who I must ask about the situation, for their side of the event. With both sides story, I can then formulate an appropriate reply based upon the encounter, based upon the picture I have "painted". From there, I will act to resolve it. Thank you for your time.

Manchester, just few seconds ago...

Don't you think that it was a tad bit of an overkill? C:

I am not really going to bother screening every bad behaviour out there to report to factions. I said my piece and since I have no reason to lie or talk crap about faction, take it upon yourself to investigate inside the group, or disregard it as some factions do to shake off the responsibility.

No. Why ask?

If you ask me, they needed more to get the blues.

Just to let you know, The BIS| (Me) didn't engage you. He arrived at the scene when the last Gb docked.

You guys are pretty cool. Could use some more combat experience, but that's the pot calling the kettle black (:

I appreciate that you didn't use your capitals to gain the advantage in today's brawl near the Cambridge jumpgate.

You'll be seeing more of us in Bretonia.

Thank you for your kind words. It was an interesting fight.

One thing I'm quite big on is fair play, and certainly when I'm present I try to ensure this (when I'm in command at least), so keeping the battleships back was something my guys know I expect, and was enforced by the Iowa.

Although, I will ask, on behalf of my guys, that you don't shoot your own NPC's for bots. It's a viable tactic, but a bit strange when corsairs shoot corsair NPC's... Hugging can be very annoying too, considering we was telling the BAF| players to not hug the Battleships to keep it fair for you.

Apart from that, this could be quite good in future, we just ask you work on those points as it made things quite frustrating for us.

Thanks!
