The first of a few surprises were awaiting her, when she entered the secured medical room for the five occupants they had found she was surprised to not see children there but instead adolescents, her brow crossed and she looked towards Quade who progressed to them without any reaction, she summarized from this that they were this way before. Frantically shaking her head before the mans back she tried it dispel her confusion, she discredited her memory instead as she remembered the devices being forested over which had probably distorted the proportions, it wasn’t until she looked at the third person that she realized how she had made the mistake, this one was the child - the rest seemed to be young adolescents in contrast. She looked across to Quade who like many of those here preferred to just get their work done; she had proved she was competent enough to work without her every move being watched.
The first one she had done without any reaction to her actions, the blood being drawn but it seemed thicker then what it should have been, the color a deeper red and she thought that the blood was spoiled at first but as she set up to the monitors she would see the strong vitals in contrast. She frowned light before she moved over to a black haired individual, she grabbed his arm and went to place the tip of the needle against his arm but she paused with her brows furrowing. His skin was unexpectedly warm and when she looked up towards his face she froze.
The eyes that were fixed on her held an old soul quality though as the peered at her this was not what had captivated her attention the males eyes seemed to hold a piercing quality that, she opened her mouth the speak but the words caught in her throat, which she later scolded herself for, she failed to notice the males hand having come up to hold the needle of the tube in which he snapped it, it seemed with this her voice finally came back “Q-Quade!” While the man might have been plaid with her, he wasn’t with the man. His lips curling slightly in an animalistic way as he came off the bed he was on. Quade who had just been about the draw a sample from the smallest one was caught by surprised as much as Clary was when the male moved in a blur of a moment, his hand cupping around his throat and smashed it against the wall - there was no crunch how ever, the force seeming to have been measured and while Quade crumped to the ground she moved to hit the alarm, the room locking down.
She had expected further violence from the man, she went for the sedative but when she looked over to him she saw that he had disregarded her as well as Quade, he paid more attention to the four other occupants, she used this moment to grab quickly grab Quade’s arm and pulled him away from the male, she checked his pulse to find him breathing thought it was apparent he was knocked out. For a moment she wondered why there was no alarm, however after the initial panic she realized why. For the moment at least, she was stuck with the man in a sealed room.
Vaelin stood within the armory of the Wolf’s Den, the ship itself was on autopilot as it emerged from the Ontario jump-hole into Alberta. In this region of space he was known as Blaidd Bellator. A freelancer of little renown and someone who was picky about who they were hired by. Vaelin set the helmet of the onto his head to complete the armored outfit, playing the part of the paranoid merc who always wore his armor. The ship pitched slightly as its vector readjusted and it set course for Freeport Fourteen. He added a few accessories to the outfit, a pair of pistols to each thigh and a rifle over his back. Though trouble wasn’t expected didn’t wish to be unprepared. Plans seldom go to plan anyway. He took a moment to fiddle with the controls and assure that the vessel was still integrated with the stations internal systems. It might have been mostly abandoned, but that to him just meant he was more noticeable when he did visit. This routine had been established quite some time ago, when he left the AI he had assisting him would clear the station banks records of its visits. Now in the persona of Bellator, Blaidd relocated himself to the mooring point. The ship and station connected and Bellator transferred himself over to the station. After seeking out and dealing with the docking master Blaidd made his way toward the bar. During this transit to the stations facility he moved his hand to interact with the PDA device attached to his forearm. He drew up what information he could on the docking bay trying to match the registered SID’s to determine what the new ship might be, if there wasn’t one he would set his device to alert him should a new ship arrive or depart.
Blaidd chose to sit in one of the corners, near one of the windows. He would get a look at the outside of the station. He had chosen this spot for the reason that if something was coming from the Ontario jump-hole he would be able observe its approach. His left hand rested on the table the gloved hand tapping it’s index finger against the metal surface of the table. His right hand rested on top of his right thigh close enough to his weapon to quickly draw it if needed. While the view offered him the fore knowledge of approaching ships, the reflection off the glass would provide him with another advantage. Through the reflection he would look at the patrons that were in the bar at the present moment, he took the time to observe each one. His left hand raised and shook at the Bartender when the man looked his way, denying being served at least for the moment. Blaidd Bellator would now wait for the one that had sought to summon him here.
