Researcher ID is needed - here is my proposal:

The Researcher ID Wrote:Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a Researcher, who:

* Can attack any ship in self-defense or to protect an allied ship or base
* Cannot escort or fulfill bounty contracts.
* Cannot pirate or demand credits.
* Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.

Allowed ships: Fighters , Freighters, Gunboats, Corvo Cruiser

ZOI: Everywhere

Without ship-line Transports or make it more limited to Transports with max 1-2k cargo-hold
(to prevent abusing / power-trading with that ID)
Plus also add the line about hauling Nomad-parts

Will this ID have it's own money making model since all standard ways to ear money will be excluded? My point is, that cutting all ways for making money sooner or later will make this ID very non popular, maybe totaly unuseful. Maybe it needs it's onw methods.. So what about giving this ID special, new ideas to make money inRP like special equipment availble only for them used to conducting experiments and research that will be vital for other factions to make for example JD's, Cloacks, another POB's core etc I mean very unique stuff, giving new opportunities but based only on RP with those Researchers. And also: maybe some equipment to do experiments with nomads/wilds leading to new items/intel that then can be sold to non researching factions? I mean that ID only can be not enough to make good RP in game like Freelancer. It needs some comodity support, because it's what that game is based on: commodity trading and fighting. And after that factions could be hiring researchers to achieve new levels of fun in this game.

I was assuming that people understood that if it will be an SRP ID for hardcore roleplayers, then this ID is definitely not intended for making a crapload of crash. Like there wouldn't be enough IDs for that already...

Researcher ID is 'hardcore' it's intended for people who likes to fly around and RP. Like me.
Fly around, RP with others, create stories, maybe get hired by some faction for some concrete research, depending on the Researcher's field of expertise... Etc.

Maybe screw the limit on transports, but each person with this ID should be somehow checked slash controled from time to time. Something like that.

But why dont you add the benefit of being able to carry nomad artifacts and unmounted nomad equipment?I mean you are a reasarcher...

What's the point? Can you do something with this ID you cannot with Spec Ops ID?

Make it open(with cargo/engagement restrictions) or don't implement at all

What's the point of SRPing Researcher ID, if you can put same effort into getting SRP/Neutral ID with same (and even better) propetries? Just restrict it to 3600 cargo as Freelancer ID and make it open OR make it easier to get it (mini-SRP, as proposed). And maybe for factions too.

I agree with above: you don't have to have Researcher ID to do those stuff. IMO Spec Ops ID is way better with that. And give a lot more opportunities. You can hardcore roleplay with any other ID, especially with those who have no ZOI limitations like Freelancers, Pirates, Spec Ops. What's the need then to create ID which brings nothing new to game/community? For now it has for me limitations only.. And you will find it very fast, that without little money-awarded things you will be bored with this ID very soon. OR..things I proposed could be added. And could make it really awesome ID. Of course I don't mean to make a lot of money with it. But tell it by yourself: it's always mobilizing when after fantastic RP you get few mil's from someone ie. 'for your effort'.
I also understand that many things can be 'created', many research 'conducted and concluded' inRP only, without any phisical proofs and be sold like that. But it will ends very soon. People will quickly realise that it doesn't have any sense to pay for...nothing..
You know: that kind of ID would be great in community concentrated on marvellous RP and RP only. But in this game, in this community as I see it time is a money, pew is fun(and I agree with that because that is why most people play this game), and when you do for long time something that doesn't lead to any of those things you finally find that it's simply not worth it - not only because you, but mostly becouse most of community thinks, plays and RP (if does) the way described above.

It's an rp id. If you don't want to rp 100% researcher don't srp for this ID and stick to Freelancer ID.
Also who told you there aren't plans for this ID
