Hi again, all.

So, if you restart as a nomad, you're given 25k, a nomad id, and a camera ship -- fine.
However, the description of the camera ship says that you're not allowed to do anything but fly around and look at things in it. Not only that, but when you try to buy things on the nomad worlds (which are the only ones where you're allowed to land), you get "access denied".

How do baby nomads grow up to fly real nomad ships, without breaking any rules? (lets look at this from within the boundaries of RP)
Someone (non-nomad) has to give a large sum of money to a stranger from a faction with which they are at war, for no reason within the RP universe. This is an extremely unlikely scenario. Plus, it doesn't make sense to start nomads with a ship that can't make money, and not enough money to buy a ship. You guys can do better.

That said...
What if my RP character is a nomad who aspires to slowly develop a better reputation with other factions, and then attain a foreign ID? And what if my non-RP agenda is to fly nomad ships all over the galaxy and do missions for other factions as such, or to be a pirate in a nomad ship? What if a pirate commandeers a nomad ship from within a nomad base (by barging in guns blazing and offering to exchange a fair sum of money for it)?

The Nomads are a complete different race than the Humans. They don't aspire things such as credits. Nomads don't work with humans, they've been at war for the longest time due to quite obvious hostilities. I don't think a Nomad would ever want to 'help' another human, unless perhaps under a circumstance of leading them astray to get something out of it.

They're the 'Bad Guys' of Sirius. I suggest looking into their lore and concept which you can find under the K'Hara section of the forums here.

Money transfers are, and always have been an OORP thing.

Think nothing of transferring 50 million to your Outcast character from your IMG bank for sake of example. Seriously, everyone does it, and its just a thing we've all come to accept.

That being said, I'd advise you take the character you have now, get the Nomad Adad bomber, fully equip it with guns, a nomad cloak, and a torpedo/SNAC, and go give the nomad RP a try.

For help with nomad RP, consult this thread for a breif guide as to how to RP a nomad properly.

All of that being said, the Nomad Extended Lore page provides all the background you could ever need.

Then their ships should all be similar cost, and/or restarting as nomad should give you enough starting funds for a ship.

This kind of closed-mindedness is probably the reason they've been at war with humans for so long without even a cease-fire.

Nomads are quite angry. Their creators have left them, they were put in stasis for ages and after a rough awakening (by humans) they find their worlds occupied with horrible abominations that defile the legacy of their creators, and even experiment with Nomads for their own benefit. They probably won't let that anger go.

They are at war with humans because Sirius is theirs. Now, you wouldn't welcome an intruder, taking over 90% of your own house with the intention to live there and shoot you when they see you, with open arms and a wide smile, would you?

Says the rookie to the K'Hara leader...

Regardless, Conrad is right. Nomads have absolutely no desire to assist or be buddies with the humans in any way, and any in-game faction that is principally composed of humans that works with the nomads are any one of:

A: infected humans, AKA, nomads shoved into humans (Wilde, Isejin, Division 9)
B: willingly working for the nomads for one reason of another (Spectres, some Outcasts)
C: devoted fanatics who are merely used to serve the goals of the nomads (Crimson Cross (shameless self-promotion))

Nomads are aggressive by nature, since that's how they were created. Also, they blue up Sol, the extended Intro is considered canon in discovery AFAIK.

Sorry for interruption, but since Nomads began infiltrating humanity, wouldn't they slowly make some research over human's behaviour and conclude some information about them? Even the most brutal and destructive race (which became rather covert with its operations) should make conclusions, if it was almost destroyed up by a way inferior race.

And who said they didn't? The fact they don't wage war on all humans at once doesn't mean they hate humans any less.
