The Core can attack anyone considered hostile to the Core, stupid, the Core can declare anyone hostile because they are BOUNTY HUNTERS! Good lord, who thought giving the Core carte blanche to attack anyone and everyone was a good idea? Might as well give them all Terrorist IDs.

The error in your entire post comes from the fact that you believe that Core are Bounty Hunters, they are not. The Bounty Hunters are the BHG|, while the Core is the Core|, kinda a form of... the master-mind, the brain behind the Bounty Hunters, but they are not one and the same.
I am sure any CORE or BHG dude can explain better.

I think the problem is more that they are treated like a House Military instead of just a Bunter guild, given the ability to do pretty much anything they want, for example to levy fines and confiscate the cargo; that's something you'd expect from a police or military ID, not bounty hunters.

That's because the Core are paramilitary, not just a bounty hunting guild. That's why they're separate from the normal guild

But honestly, Gytrash, maybe, before you are going to criticize Core, try documenting yourself upon its Lore first truly. You will most certainly not create a good opinion of yourself if you criticize anything without properly documenting yourself about it first as you will end up doing disastrous errs like this one.

That was changed by Core though, the part about BHG earning credits to finance (BHG) Core in the Omicrons.

I don't mind yet another Empire-building Omicron faction, but I would have liked it more if (BHG) Core was simply just Bounty Hunters in capital ships in the Omicrons/Omegas, available for hire by the richest organizations there.

If it looks like a bounty hunter, flies the ships of a bounty hunter, hunts bounties sirius wide like a bounty hunter, has the IFF of the Bounty hunter's Guild like a bounty hunter...

I'm going to call it a bounty hunter..

Froootling gooblestogglers you don't see any other official faction trying to desperately remove any association with the alleged background lore of the faction and the NPC faction as much as Core seem to be.

Except for Phoenix and that went well for them.
