The general rule on NPC bases is that cargo such as that is hidden, for the sake of server gameplay. POBs are a different matter as the base owner can directly control what commodities are on the base. IMO it does really suck that there's no plugin where you can hide the contraband to certain pilots, but make it viewable by others.

If you guys think the congress "legitimized" this ridiculousness by going ahead with the trial, arguing that they should have called the hole thing off before it even started... well, I have to agree. That doesn't make the fidings on the congress bases less invalid, though, in my opinion.

Because NPC stations are developers' domain.

PoB stations are player owned, administered and overseen.

Restart the RP from a clean point.
Make it a realistic court hearing, and not a battlemech-mexican-shootout bar scene, or whatever picture comes to mind at the moment.

I do not see any more options but to revert it to a prior stage and redo it properly, while agreeing to some standards, like: it is a court room. No guns. No fighting. And perhaps it is also necessary for leaders to have an oorp plan what the outcome should be and play towards it.

This whole affair has gone bad enough... time to end it. Because this helps no one.

It won't matter how far back you go in the trial, Jack. It appears that the real issue here is that Congress doesn't view the trial as legitimate and therefore are not bound to any decisions that come out of it. At least, that is the sense I get from the comments here. The Admins will have to decide whether the trial is a legitimate RP device, and either allow the Congress to live with the consequences of their choices or simply tell both groups nothing will come from the trial no matter the outcome.

Except the latter would play right into the Congress' hands. It works out to their interest that roleplay not be considered valid. The fairest way to deal with this would be to clean the slate, begin the RP again under Administrator supervision, ensure a legitimate outcome arises and enforce it.

This is a feedback thread. Yes, feedback is being given but quite a bit of this is player vs player and the Congress Feedback page isn't the right place for it. If you want to do that, take it to skype. Quite a few posts have been made invised.

I'm trying to be neutral here, but the problem is that (as you pointed out in Omi's thread) it's worrying if the admins might actually monitor the trial without injecting bias or not.

@Garrett

I feel like the latter part of what you said is what the Congress is after here, in which case I'd like to point out that nullifying one piece of legitimate RP won't make LibGov simply forget the issue that started all of this, and the Junker Congress will NOT be getting out of consequences; It is my understanding that the court RP was established to allow the Congress to respond in a manner they deemed fair, but all I've seen from them is efforts to sidetrack and prolong things.

I'm of the opinion that it should be allowed to run it's course and what Hidamari said should be the attitude taken. The Congress played their hand, and they chose to proceed the way that they did, they should now have to face the inRP consequences of their actions.

I do no speak for the Congress, the leader of the Congress speaks for the Congress, and given that the leader hasn't responded here I could only assume that it means he hasn't read the thread yet. For the record it is possible to have a different thought process than the rest of the organization. Everything I post is my own personal thoughts on the matter. I understand that the lack of coffee is messing with your ability to argue, but stop acting like the few congress members who are willing to enter the thread hold the authority for the masses.
