Oh yes!! Jacked in my job, and boy did that feel good.



Signed up on a volunteer program involved in Marine Conservation on the Yucatan peninsula. Working in a marine reserve called Sian Ka'an, about an hour from Tulum. Nobody else but us is allowed on the reserve, and I'll be diving twice a day gathering data on fish and coral species.



Whale sharks migrate along the coast, and I'll be there when they're migrating.

Turtle breeding season will also be in full swing, so I'll also get to be involved in measuring the turtles, counting eggs, and moving eggs to safer areas if necessary.



Miles of white sand beach all to ourselves. No electricity, no phones, no internet, no fridges, no cold beer ............. wait ...... OH NO!!! I do, however, know how to make a fridge using just unglazed pottery. Oh yes I do!



Work finishes at the end of April. I leave for Mexico at the end of May.

How much did this cost?

Do you have to pay them to be included in the program? How will you fund yourselves out there?
